That is good news from the specialist Hazel. I got a text message today giving me the results of yesterday's blood test. Apparently my cholesterol levels are a bit high and they asked me to contact - through a link - my surgery. I did as instructed only to be told that they were all booked up for today and were not taking any more queries. I'll try again tomorrow morning before I leave for the Foodbank. I am having second thoughts about that though and need to speak to Bestie.
The roads around me still haven't been gritted and they are all iced up. I had to bang my bins against the wall to get them to open as I prepared them for tomorrow's collection. Knowing my luck they will freeze up again over night and may not even open to empty when tipped up. Hey ho.
p.s. Hazel, did you manage to trace your parcel?

I reckon there's a chance that the bin wagon won't bother with our street tomorrow @Ladybird4. There have been occasions in the past when they've just missed us off their round when it's particularly wintry.

Depending on what conditions are like in the morning, Elf 'n' Safety might kick in. To be fair, I wouldn't fancy a bin wagon sliding down the hill on black ice.

    Good news Hazel!
To be honest @Biglad I wouldn't fancy that either

-6°C expected here later Hazel and its -3°C at the moment. I'll be heaping on extra throws to make things warmer. Handy brother informs me it could get up to 11°C at the weekend - Sunday specifically - so things will start to get more pleasant outside. 🀞🏻

Its -5Β°C here at present and that is the coldest it has been here so far this cold spell. I have been out and checked on the bins to make sure the lids are free. The snow still lying on part of my drive is solid and very crispy to walk on.
When I checked on the time I can contact my surgery re the cholesterol readings I got yesterday, it seems I cannot do anything until 09:00 and that is the time I would be at the Foodbank with Bestie. What a nuisance!
