I'm only a short drive from the West Pennine Moors so that probably explains my heavy snowfall of the day and it is thawing quite rapidly here. It is so much nicer being inside and looking out at it!

Morning @Biglad it was raining here when I went to bed last night so I can imagine the roads being 'horrendous'. I'm hoping the road conditions will be better tomorrow morning as I have to go down a scary hill (and come back up it again!) to get to and from my Bestie's. I will be picking her up and then we will go to our first Food Bank of the new year. This hill is on the way to the school I taught in and I and other motorists have been stopped by the police at the top of it during icy weather as it is too difficult to negotiate and have then had to back track and go the longer way round down the M6 to get to work.

We had a delicious seafood meal in the restaurant and met some other people also taking the early morning ferry.
There is a noisy family down the corridor, I hope I can sleep.

Looks like we've had a thaw and re-freeze. Had thunder and hail/sleet/rain last night. Eldest is reporting roads are "horrendous" on her commute
