An hour ahead here. I've lit the woodburners. I'll have to go out to the barn and bring in another couple of barrows of logs.
The milk has defrosted so I've had coffee, but I must go to the SM as soon as the electric entrance gate has defrosted. It won't open when it's frozen.

Good morning Busy. Gosh, frost where you are. Still just damp and horrid here. I would like it to 'feel' more Christmassy next weekend with either a light covering of snow or frost. Grey, damp and dismal days do not make it feel festive.

Morning all. Didn't sleep too well last night but I must get the flat got metal thing out this morning and move the mountain of items.
It looks quite bright outside, a little breezy but at least the gusty winds from yesterday have dropped.
LB, you will miss her. Would it be ok for us on here, to still call our washers..Lily's TV...or what that be too insensitive or upset you too much when mentioned?
I'd be with Debs, wearing a t shirt, I rarely wear jumpers as I get too hot in them. Prefer to be cool than hot.
Gosh, some of us are hardy! I wore a long sleeved T shirt, a thick jumper, jeans and a fleece when I got up, added a winter anorak when I brought in the logs. Indoors now and have removed the anorak and fleece as the fires are burning. What on earth do you all wear in summer to keep cool?

We have a mystery here. Yesterday, when my OH got up he found a pile of xmas cards stuck through the letterbox...so what?......it was 7.30am😲 I have never know the RM to deliver that early, ever. We have just had a post at 10.15 am, thats very early for here. So, did hey really come delivering early , and in the dark, or did someone else have them? Note, we had not had any post all week, which is rare.
My guess would be a neighbour has been getting your mail and pushed it through before going to work @Songbird-2
Our mail/parcel deliveries seem to be interchangeable with at least 3 neighbours despite the numbering system being standard (not anything like nos. 15A, 15B but not a no. 13, for example) and all our house numbers being clearly displayed.
That was my initial thought too @Biglad. We do know all the neighbours though and feel,pretty sure they would just have knocked and given us them, as has happened before, not often though. Maybe the next street? Totally different name though.

If we manage to get a cactus today I have a fancy to call him Cactus 128. What do you think? Any other names ?
