Hope you've all enjoyed your fill of virtual cake. 😅 Always more available. And yes, @Ergates , always a Coffee and Walnut on the cake table!
Many thanks for your kind comments about Charlie, you all know of course he's my pride and joy and I'm so enjoying watching him blossom. I can honestly say that everyone who meets him always comments on what a good chap he is, so I do hope I'm not being blinkered.
Glad to hear people seem to be on the mend and are getting organised for Christmas.
I've my little drinks party to go to tonight, and in Thursday I'm going into a nice local town for last minute Christmas shopping and I'm going to take myself out for a nice lunch too.
All Christmas orders (lots of them) will all be completed by then and I'll be able to enjoy a bit of free time, first time for a while. Several dozen Mince Pies to get done before that, and putting the icing on a pile of Christmas Cakes. Don't even mention the paperwork.....🙄
Have a good day all. Catch up later. 😁

Morning all, it's pouring with rain so indoor jobs for us today. OH has just gone off to the dentist and will pick up my prescriptions as well as the daily paper so no need for me to go out.
Happy birthday to Dove's OH and Pat's son. Loved the photos of the hares @Pat E, we don't see them often over here. Last time was two years ago I think near our Norfolk B & B. That was when we met up wasn't it @Dovefromabove and had lunch together in that nice stately home cafe.
Some down time will do you good @D0rdogne_Damsel, you've had a very hectic year. You've reminded me I haven't made my mincepies yet and as my son is coming up tomorrow afternoon, a day earlier than expected, he might just fancy a snack!
The man was booked to come this morning to replace the double glazed dining room window, which has a big crack in it. He was an hour late. Then I looked at my emails to find one to say the the window was broken when loading it into the van and another would have to be ordered. Should arrive after the 8th January.
It's cold and grey here. Highest temperature today will be 4C. Think I'll go and buy a load of bags of compost for mulching.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Went to SM yesterday. Looked up - OH not there. Up and down the aisles looking for him until he appeared saying he'd gone looking for mango chutney (failed). I got quite cross. He also stopped me putting things in the trolley as 'we can get that in town'. Guess what - some ingredients for a meal tonight missing, it's raining and OH reluctant to walk into town. Tough - he's going to have to as I have other things to do!
Sending my very Best Birthday Wishes to the Birthday Boys, hope they both have a few special treats to enjoy. Loved the picture of the hares @Pat E, I see from the news that there are a lot of nasty floods down your way, hope they are not too near your area. Hoping that no recent news from @punkdoc means that he and Moira are making a steady recovery from the covid. Also wondering how successful @Hostafan1 is finding his new heating system, how much heat does it actually throw out and is that for a solid 24 hours or does it have to be regulated to time on and time off for it to be effective? Interested because we had given it some thought for our system.
