The cake looks delicious @Dovefromabove. A slice with a cup of tea would go down a treat 😉.
We braved the SM after all as there was a lull in the wind and rain. We got everything on the list and the queues weren’t bad at all 👍🏼. Just the meat to collect tomorrow and the chemist to visit.
  • Not starting that one until Cmas Day @Red maple … but you’re  welcome to a slice then 🤶🏻

  • Our fingers will be crossed @punkdoc … hopefully there’ll be a bit of improvement in your chest between now and then.
@Nanny Beach says she’s found some breathing  exercises really helpful.

That looks so yummy Dove. When you get a moment, after Christmas of course, would you mind giving me the recipe?

A hard day taking Dad to appointment then shopping. Even hospitals are difficult for disabled people as you seem to have to walk from disabled parking or drop-off points, then order a porter, then wait ages… Sorry not very festive to whinge but whilst I am… numerous examples of poor driving today and the equivalent with walking (particularly in SM car park and aisles). Also, someone bumped my wing mirror  and I’m now feeling very Grinch-like 😡

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok.

I'm pleased about 2 bits of good news - @punkdoc has a date for his operation, hope it happens this time, and @Dovefromabove has a worrking cooker. Cake looks good.

    I've finished my Christmas shopping.
I now have a Christmas tree after all. Put it on the decorations thread.

This afternoon my garden was full of baying hunting hounds. I rang CB as he's a member of La Chasse and he came quite quickly but by then the hounds had gone into the wood. CB rang later to tell me that they were hunting wild boar and they'd shot a big one weighing 175kg. Sounds as though the Chasse has Christmas dinner sorted!

  • Can you not lay claim to a hindquarter @Busy-Lizzie?   Very tasty 😋
I remember having a ragu of wild boar with polenta in a little village square in Tuscany during a village celebration 😋

Keeping fingers crossed for you, @punkdoc. At least you can have the op done without a GA. Hopefully you will be able to access some decent physio afterwards, to get you moving and help keep your chest clear.
