    Hi all

    Alive, just.
    Hope all are well.

Hi @punkdoc , still suffering from that bad cold? Are you feeling any benefits from the new hip, or just lopsided until you get the other one done? No chance of a cancellation before Christmas?
@Pat E, your weather seems to swing from one extreme to the other, with nothing in between! I do envy you the kangaroos in the garden, though!
Another day of nostalgia for me. Son has sent his boys to his old school, so yesterday’s trip to the old familiar playing fields was like a trip back in time. Son also played for Bath junior teams, so  today’s training session at the Rec will be another blast from the past. Both grandsons have inherited their dads love of, and skill at, rugby and cricket. Son now realises what we went through when he was young, re shivering on sidelines, or sitting for hours in fields waiting for his turn to bat! Except he has twice the pleasure/ effort!
Wish everyone was having a fun weekend as I am!

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Good to hear from you @punkdoc … hope you’re feeling better soon.
    Glad you’re having a good time @Ergates. 😊

Revisiting old times here too last night 😂 as son went down to Suffolk for a get together with friends and wasn’t due back until late … then we heard there were floods down in Suffolk again 😨. It felt like having a teenager again … but of course he was fine … back around midnight and so quiet that we hardly heard him 😊

It’s dry here, the sun is making an appearance and it’s 11C  …  today involves catching up with the shenanigans in Ambridge and roasting a chicken.

    Have a good day everyone ☕️ 🥐

The kangaroos are no problem in our place. No noise and helping Hubby keep the grass down. 😂. I’m fed up with the weather. There’s some predicted for tomorrow but I’ve lost confidence in them at the Bureau.   Grrr.

    Good morning,

my goodness, that was hot on your verandah @Pat E. I’d be wilting in that, for sure.
Quite mild here, but grey with rain forecast and a breeze developing later.

A lazy day in store today, after a busy one yesterday. I decided to shampoo the rugs downstairs as they were looking grubby. They didn’t take too long to dry, thankfully. Then I had other household jobs to do, so was pleased to put my feet up by late afternoon.

It sounds as if some of you have had a fun few days, watching various football and rugby games and cheering on the little ones 😁.

Hope everyone has a good day and that the poorlies have a better day today.

Morning all, It's a beautiful sunny Autumn morning here, the leaves on the trees are at long last changing colour, beautiful. There is some snow on the highest peaks, hopefully that will change later in the week for the ski stations when the weather changes.
Coffee will be taken on the terrace this morning and then I really should stir myself to do something useful! Have a relaxing Sunday everyone!   B)

It’s horrible weather here - wet and windy. OH checking the gutter above patio door and fixing a loose tile. I’m supervising from upstairs window. The last of the Autumn leaves are swirling round. My big Acer is the last man standing for leaves and it’s still a glowing amber gem on this grey day.

Take care all whether you are hot, soggy, tired, busy, blue, or indeed having a good time today.

  • Good morning all,  bright but breezy here,  still very damp on the ground though.
Yes @Lizzie27 I think it's been said before,  not everyone with Type 2 D is an overweight couch potato.  I  was told once by a doctor (although this was in another context)  sometimes you just can't fight your genetics.
    Thanks for nothing Dad!!

  • We drove along the lime-tree lined Newmarket Road into the city yesterday morning … it seemed as if all the leaves had fallen overnight … the road and pavements were thick with them … some weekend overtime for the council workers 😂
