Thanks @Lizzie27 … Imodium is available… I’m hoping that once it’s all ā€˜out of my system’ the explosive phase will be over, but I’ll take it if needed. For now I’m keeping hydrated with lots of sips of tonic water.Ā
I’m tucked up in bed so night night all … sweet dreams šŸ›Œ šŸ¤žĀ

    Get well soon, @Dovefromabove

Dove, they’re predicting near 40c over there in Perth. Ā Not for me either. I’d prefer somewhere in the twenties for comfort.Ā

I hope you will feel better in the morning @Dovefromabove.

I am in complete awe of Baroness Hale of Richmond. The grace, the disarming manner, the sharpest of wits and the whole story of her career, which I didn't know, is truly inspiring. The auditorium was packed and was good to see young people of many nationalities, intrigued by the peculiarity, to European eyes, of the British system. A young man my son's age started talking to me about matters of law at the bus stop and all the way until I reached my destination! A first and a last for me I am sure 🤣

  • Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
Thanks folks … I slept quite well all things considered … at least there were no abnormal hurried excursions across the landing 🄓
I still feel a bit fragile so am going to have a very lazy day … I’ll drive OH to work but otherwise I’ll read, knit, watch ā€˜rubbish tv’ etc … I’ve been instructed not to even think
about making bread today … and they’ll sort their own supper out. If I eat anything at all it’ll only be scrambled eggs.Ā

I’d hate 40C @ā€œPat E" … I’d find that very difficult to cope with. I wonder if their daughter has access to a pool …

    Morning all.

I'm glad you are feeling better @Dovefromabove. Sensible to take it easy today.

What was the talk about @coccinella? I don't know anything about her, except that she was a barrister. Was she the one who said Boris Johnson had acted illegally? Glad you enjoyed it.

We are going shopping in Norwich today.

Thank you @Dovefromabove but I'm OK for kitchenware. My brother and his son have a kitchen shop in Hastings.

Morning Forkers,it's been a while. It appears the Covid thread has gone. Love especially to Punkdoc hope you finally got your new parts, and Dove, with the Dodgy stomach! I have "officially" been diagnosed with long Covid, now under FOUR different consultants! Two more since Covid. Have had a cardiac consultant appointment,an echo, awaiting second appointment and review. This week I have an appointment with audiology at the hospital.Ā  Tinnitus and almost completely deaf in my "good". Still dreadful breathless! On a more positive note, weather has been very mild, alternate days have been sunny and windy. I have shoved washing in the machine, hubby pegged out.saturday was youngest daughters birthday, make coffee cake, that's what she asked for... just had a little family buffet. (Had to buy the sausage rolls and quiche that I normally make.Ā  Grey today,no rain shown. Hope you all have a good one. Oh, the Covidence study I am in since 2020, oddly enough, this months webinar was regarding long Covid. They are the only study that recruited folk BEFORE they contract Covid, with big questionnaire about previous health and lifestyle. As you know, I hadn't had a cold cough anything for over 20 years, none of my family can actually remember when. Well, the findings: if you are female, sleep less than 7 hours a night, were pretty ill with Covid, you stand a staggering 94% chance of getting Long Covid.
