Good morning all 😊 ☕️ especially to you dear @punkdoc what a PITA. I quite understood that you weren’t up to conversation … i had a chat with Moira instead 😉 Poor you. 🤗
Gusty wind and rain here … not nice at all … do keep those hatches well battened down, those of you in the path of this one … and stay safe … don’t want anyone else getting marooned! 🛶

That's a bummer @punkdoc And no cure for the common cold! Hope it goes as it came. Careful @Busy-Lizzie Not always you but flying objects and caravans such a nuisance on a windy road. @Nanny Beach I hope the long covid gets shorter - not good to be tired for so long. Stay safe. @Chicky Lovely photos
Dismal here but as is most mornings. The sun seems to make an appearance in the afternoons. I have a conservatory which warms up the lounge for the evening. So my heating isn't on just yet. I haven't lit the fire yet either. Wanting to do some chestnuts!
Sorry to hear your news @punkdoc, what awful timing. 🙄
Hope you start to recover soon @Nanny Beach and they don't find any damage to your heart.
I have a feather pillow @Busy-Lizzie and miss it very much when I'm away, hopefully you'll be back in your own bed tonight and will get a better night's sleep.
Charlie and I still enjoying a fabulous holiday, we've been discussing where next, it's either Italy or Japan... although he wants to travel across Japan on a train, not sure that's my type of holiday, I've told him he might have to find some student friends to do that with. 😅 It does look beautiful though @chicky.
Off island hopping today, tried to do it yesterday but it was a bank holiday here with limited sailings. We spent the morning swimming in the sea and then did the cable car in Dubrovnik in the afternoon, fabulous views. There is a war memorial at the top and a museum all about the war in 1991. Very interesting, but of course awfully sad. We don't seem to learn from these experiences do we, someone somewhere always seems to starting a war somewhere.
Anyhow, sun is shining so we're off out for the day.
Have a good day all. 😎
As you can see, most of the rooves are all shiny and new, that's because so much was damaged in the war. Dubrovnik being a UNESCO world heritage site didn't stop the bombers. 🙄

That is such a bitter disappointment, @punkdoc. Hope you recover soon and they get another date for you quickly. We are ok here, but the next village is flooded again. All the local schools are closed, and even the Donkey Sanctuary has had to shut to visitors today. We can hear the wind at the top of the trees, but no sign of trees down so far. We are on the side of a hill, so a bit sheltered from the worst of it. The patio has a huge puddle on it, but if that gets too high, it just runs down past the side of the house so no problems there. The bins are still where we left them!
Good morning everyone, crumbs November already. Very heavy rain last night but wind not too bad. We are out of the danger zone if the forecast is right. Went to Capel yesterday, mainly because the gardener we work with us off to Japan next week, so apparently I'm in charge for the next month 😱 Hooe everyone with ails and ills recover soon.
Just tested positive for Covid. Mercifully it doesn't seem as bad as last time I had it. Question for @punkdoc please. How long should I wait to have the vaccine now? Did the flu jab last Monday. 🤔

Oh dear @punkdoc, how disappointing and frustrating. I hope it can be rescheduled soon.
We are going home from Daughter's this morning. I hope it isn't too windy, forecast says 85kms an hour.
