It seems that a number of us aren't fans of the stupid meters I'm sure they said that 33 million had been installed already, so we will be part of an ever-shrinking minority.
And now I've moved, I'm expecting the electricity provider to insist on one.Β To me, they use up a small amount of electricity for no reason, except to make their job of collecting meter readings, easier.
A friend of mine raves about it. The meter sits in his lounge where he can watch it. Mind you, it's probably cheaper "entertainment" than the TV. And more interesting - which says a lot about the TV.

I just came in from my front garden. It was sunny and calm day, but very cold. I planted another apricot tree which I bought last Friday. It's a third one. It is Monday, but on the end it was complete a pleasant day. Now I must finish three more Christmas cards, and send them tomorrow morning.Β Β
Good afternoon all, we are back from the hospital and OH surgery went well. He said the most painful part was the injection to numb his hand. Thanks to all of you sending kind wishes. Iβm no lover of motorway driving and avoid it where possible, but sometimes, needs must and today was one of those days to reach the hospital. Despite the miserable weather, the roads were reasonably free flowing and not too busy so the journey was better than I thought it might have been. At least it wasnβt snowing, although we did pass a bit here and there still settled in the fields. I hope that doesnβt mean thereβs more to come. Iβve made a start on the rest of Christmas cards this afternoon (the ones for abroad are already done and posted). Iβll probably finish them tomorrow. I hope the missing slow cooker and hot metal thingy turn up soon @rowlandscastle444.
Hello Ante, Hope your Monday at work wasn't too stressful. It has been relatively mild all day with the rain falling and although it was supposed to be my rest week, one of the Bolton quizzers cannot make tonight so I have had the call up. Didn't need asking twice - I love a quiz!
