Snow here as well. The annual reminder that our street doesn't get treated and the nearest salt box is at the bottom of the hill OH left for work an hour ago. I don't envy her trip this morning.
Good morning all. Pleasant evening at my works do, the international buffet was a choice of curry or enchiladas or a Yorkshire pudding wrap I chose enchiladas. It was snowing when we all left at 11pm but none has settled here. Off out later for a festive afternoon tea with sister and friends so must write cards before I go, I picked a really cute box but they are too big to post. Most of my cards are hand delivered luckily. Hope everyone has a festive and warm SundayΒ
Good morning everyone . Ante your candle of hope display is beautiful. Big Lad I wonder who thought of one sand box on your road and at the bottom of the hill, ridiculous.LB it certainly is a day for staying in and keeping warm.Debs enjoy your afternoon tea .Take care in this very cold spell. Enjoy your Sunday folks.
I'm 90% certain that there was one half way up when we moved in @Rubee. I suspect it was removed when the house on the corner landscaped their garden some years ago. I did ask them once and they denied it. Sheepishly Β Β
We've got 3 within a similar distance - about 100-150 yards, which sounds ok until you want to collect a significant amount to clear the ungritted road and drives of neighbours who are even more mature than I am It's a steep hill when you're lugging your umpteenth bucket up it!Β
Racing is, surprisingly, still on at Carlisle @Ladybird4. I'm guessing the weather isn't great in the East Midlands as Leicester and Southwell are both off.
Morning all. We've had another fall of snow overnight, must be inch and half worth. Everywhere is covered again. Where son lives is covered again and he said the dual carriageway he travels down ( at 5am) to work, was down to one lane only. Β We have to venture out on our hunt for a new iron.Β Ante, I love your candle display but can't believe a whole year has passed since the last one. Where has it gone? Debs, have a lovely afternoon tea with sister and friends. Biglad, are you in Cumbria?Β
Have been into town and bought myself a cheap iron. It's worked perfectly well, as well as my previous one but for less than half its price. Very lightweight too.
We woke to a covering of snow this morning. It is now raining, so Iβm hoping it will wash it away ready for our trip to the hospital tomorrow. I hate motorway driving at the best of times, but even less so in bad weather.
The trees are finished and look very nice. Like @Ante1, Iβve got my advent wreath set up too, so weβre starting to look festive. Yours looks lovely Ante1. If I can figure out how to upload a photo of mine later, I will. Iβve been told once how to do it, but Iβve forgotten how.
OH had been going to put up some outdoor lights today before his hand is all stitched and bandaged up tomorrow, but the path outside the window looked very slippy for putting ladders on, so weβve decided not to bother this year, unless his hand is ok nearer Christmas. Donβt want him falling and injuring himself so he canβt have the op π².
