OH has just informed me that I have another nibling. The parents are relatively old for starting a family so the last couple of weeks have been a bit anxious for those who have that inclination. All is well though. I think that makes enough for a rugby union team.
Late posting once again as Iβve had a busy morning setting up the raffle table at church in readiness for the Christmas fair tomorrow. Then, when I got back, OH and I popped out for fish and chips at our nearby garden centre.
Itβs another cold and frosty day today, and much greyer with mist coming and going. Iβm glad not to be going out any more today.
I hope all the poorlies feel a bit better today, and I hope your dental treatment went ahead and youβre not feeling too uncomfortable from @Biglad.
Good afternoon all. Had a super meal with the Quiz team. Two of them had just got back from Lanzarote yesterday so they were definitely feeling the cold. Two hours just flew past and lots of nattering went on.
That is magical news @Biglad. I only have 10 niblings and I cannot see any further additions being made so I've enough for a (mixed) lacrosse team.
I am at a Christmas Fayre next Sunday Red maple.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
This one wasn't widely expected, @Ladybird4 so you never know Β
I've had the tooth root out. Cost about Β£50 per minute in the chair! Thought I'd celebrate the end of the week by nipping for a chest X-ray and picking up a prescription whilst I was out. Rock and Roll!
We've been frantic all day, trying to find boxes that the removal men mispositioned,Β We also found an electrical item that they damaged, but since we purchased it in 1990, we'll just buy a new one.Β I've been searching for some large albums to stabilise one of the bookcases, but can I find them? Not a chance. Also unfound is our slow cooker. I'm told that it was me who packed it, so I should have written on the box!! Sigh.
Must have dropped off before 9 last night so I'm unlikely to get back to sleep now.
No pain after the dentist's anaesthetic wore off, despite the pre-treatment speech about possible side affects/repercussions. Never had that before. The dentist I was allocated isn't long out of university so I'm guessing that's a new thing. I can imagine that talk of what can go wrong prior to treatment won't help the nerves of some patients!
Good morning all. Christmas tree goes up today then I am out tonight for the works βdoβnothing fancy itβs advertised as an international buffet and disco any ideas what goes into an βinternational β buffet?Β
Sorry for me absent last week. I had a lot to catch up, especially at cottage. Rain and wind every single day didn't help a bit, but it will be over today. Snow is forecasted for tomorrow. π I was yesterday in pre Christmas shopping in nearby city. There were a lot of Christmas trees for sell, but it's too early to have fresh one in the house. I'll go back in ten days. I also found few more presents, cards and lovely mug for my tea. It's ridiculously huge one, but very lovely and festive. I slept very well last night, and till afternoon i don't know what to do. Later must go to cottage and prepare everything for winter and low temperatures.Β Β Β Β
