    Afternoon all,Β

Just seen postie dragging his cart up the hill as I was closing the curtains. Can't recall a delivery so late.

It's stayed below freezing here as well. Had one of the unsolicited messages that I detest so much on my phone - "expect snow at 18.00" :o Could do without any significant snowfall hindering getting to the dentist tomorrow afternoon. I'm booked in for tooth root removal. Followed by a trip to the evening surgery for some blood tests. I know, I know - you're all jealous of my wild Friday nights ;)

    I haven't written a single Christmas card.Β

Once you get used to it @Pauline 7 I expect you will be glad not to have to wear glasses. I still can't get used to having to wear them, wish I didn't.

Good news that you got the heating going @rowlandscastle444.

The broken down lorry was rescued so I was able to get out and do the weekly shop.

@Pauline 7, having worn contact lenses for 40 years and after my brush wih iritis, being told by the optometrist that it wasn't really recommended for people my age to wear contact lenses (cheeky rip!) I have returned to wearing glasses. I don't really mind but have to remember to clean them! I have a tiny cataract (so I've been told) but I would love to get it sorted as soon as possible because everyone I know who has had them done say how great their sight has become. Jack, at 93, is delighted with his.
Biglad, I hope that you do get to your Dentist - especially after all our hassling! As for cavorting with the vampires! Do you reckon they'll pick up on Novocaine in your blood?
Busy, I smiled at your 'no card writing' statement. I haven't done any either since I got back from Bestie's. Glad you managed to get your shopping done. Last week an articulated lorry jack knifed on the island at the M6 junction near me and caused no end of chaos for a few hours until the Fire Brigade came to the rescue.

In the quiet corner at the moment. It's been snowing most of the evening and bitterly cold. Night all.Β

Hazel - chin up chuck. You have the pantomime with 23 to look forward to and hopefully that will lift your spirits. x
This month can be a difficult month for some so don't be afraid to discuss your worries with those closest to you. A problem shared and all that.
Severe frost here this morning and at lunch time it is our monthly meal out with the original quiz team at our original venue. I'm looking forward to that and friend from Crewe is coming up - weather permitting of course. Good job I've got all of their cards and little gifts ready. And now for tea and cereals!

Good morning all. Very frosty here. Almost looks like snow. So pretty but hoping it melts before I have to slide down the hill to the bus stopΒ

    Morning all.

Frosty but sunny here. Met Office said 50% chance of snow at 9am.

I moved back into our bedroom last night. We slept well. OH didn't cough until this morning. He's a lot better, but not yet up to coming with me to the friends of the church cocktail party this evening. I'll wear a thick jumper and jeans. The room where it's held can be a bit chilly.

I hope Hazel is feeling a bit happier today.

Good morning Debs and Busy. I've been out and filled the bird feeder in the back garden. The bird bath is frozen solid but I'm not going to tackle that until after lunch. The sun is shining and is quite cheery despite the 0Β°C temperature. Don't forget the thick socks Busy! Take care on that hill Debs!
