Good morning @Biglad and @star gaze lily.
Still a bit dark to see if there is any David Jason here Biglad. Will you be able to dispose of the remaining bed parts today?
SGL, pleased to read you had a tiny bit more sleep last night. I have been writing Christmas cards on the wettest of days but I can only do a few at a time. I would love to get all my Christmas post out on December 1st. That is my target but I'm not holding my breath!

Good morning LB, Biglad, SGL and all to follow.

LB, I think you will finish all your Christmas cards before 1st December. Every year you send around 100 cards, if I remember right.

Busy, sorry that you missed firework. Hope you OH is feeling better.

Sunny and cold morning. I arrived home around 1am. Max was insane, and two cats (female of course) gave me a warm welcome. Three others (males) just raised a head and continue to sleep.Β
I was shocked with temperature and snow in Zagreb. My car was covered with frost. Luckily highway was clear, and almost with no traffic.Β
I fed my pets, refill bird feeders, fire is lit and it's time for cup of tea. It will be day just for resting and sorting my luggage.

Welcome home Ante. Yes, dogs do tend to get very excited to meet up with their owners - even after the shortest of times away. You are right - almost 100 cards every Christmas. Its a good job a lot of them can be hand delivered otherwise I would have to take out a second mortgage to pay the postage!

    Morning all.

Glad you got home safely @Ante1.Β
    We have a frost here.

Thank you for your sympathy about OH and the fireworks. We had a bad night. OH was coughing so I went to the guest room but it was cold. Bed warmed up as a winter duvet was on it. The cockerel started crowing at 5.30am. Then he was quiet but started up again at 7. We are now having coffee in bed.

We heard the fireworks last night and I could see the tall ones over the houses opposite when I went down the drive. I expect those people could see them from their bedroom windows as there are just fields behind. The village hall is quite isolated with fields around it.

I will make pizza tartlets this afternoon as I'm are going to a church thing this evening. OH will have to stay at home.

Morning, cold again but no frost. Temperature is 1 degree outside.
I had to bring in a couple of pots of snapdragon seedlings yesterday as they were hit bad the previous night with the cold. Have lost some of them but others have perked up. Had to shift foxgloves back into greenhouse/coldframes too as they all flopped and some so had started to shrivel up.Β
Ante , pleased to hear you've got home safely and the pets are all doing well. Enjoy and recuperate today as you know what's coming tomorrow.
Busy, I hope your Oh soon gets rid of what sounds like a really nasty cold. Some are so bad they just floor you and then hang about for ages.
Red Maple, your little break away sounds just the job and glad you both enjoyed it, Hope your arm is now back to normal.
Indoor jobs for me although OH says he may spend a hour outside setting in place some bricks for a wee path around the new veg patch. Rather him than me I'm afraid.

    Good afternoon,

A very still, grey and chilly afternoon it is, too. The sky looks as if it might drop something - rain, sleet or snow - but so far it remains dry. I’ve only ventured out to church this morning but have no plans to go anywhere else.

We made our festive puds yesterday, and today they are in the slow cookers gently simmering. I find cooking them this way so much better than doing them on the stove. There is no steam, and no continual topping up of water required, just an occasional check to make sure the water levels haven’t dropped too much.

Thank you @Songbird-2. Yes, we really enjoyed our trip to see Jools. It made a nice change from routine and marks the start of festive doings. My arm is fine now, too. It was a little tender yesterday and Friday, but ok now.

Glad you found everything was well on your return from London @Ante1, and that you had a warm welcome from your pets. Lots of lovely memories for you to look back on over the coming months.

To everyone feeling under the weather, I hope you have a better day today.

Good afternoon everyone. I did have to smile earlier. I was aware of a movement in the Choisya outside my kitchen window and on close looking I spotted Robbie sitting looking in through the window. I got the message, went and checked outside and the feeder was empty. I did my duty and got it filled up in the garage. Boy it was cold and as you mention Red maple, grey and still - most unpleasant to be honest.

I'm watching the football to the sound of a chainsaw from over the road. I'm amazed at how much of that noise I hear round here, but I'm baffled that it's still going today. It's dark!

They made a film about that Biglad!
Handy brother is hacked off with the 10 point deduction Everton received. I think he is watching or listening to their match this afternoon. I don't think they are doing very well. I am having to sign out on my old laptop as my newest one has decided to lose my curser. I'll love you and leave you for now until I sort out the glitch. See you tomorrow.
