Hazel and LB, I'll not keep you in suspense anymore. LB got it right, and it's jelly eels. One chap on YouTube has excellent videos about British food. He is very sincere, and very pleasant to watch and listen, without any drama or overreacting.Β Β
Oh dear @Ante1, not one of the UK's finest dishes!Β
I'm looking forward to the Panto too @Songbird-2, The Sleeping Beauty. I love all the excitement of the children. We are going to a matinee so there will be lots of children and no drive back in the dark.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Enjoy @Ante1, if you canπ€π Thats three of us going to the Panto this year @Busy-Lizzie , we'll have to compare afterwards! Signing off for today. Night all.
Good early morning all - another one of those sleepless nights so I decided to get up and have a cuppa. Its thrown Lily completely as she thinks I should be making her breakfast!
Ante, I can put you right on one thing, these Romans in the UK do not eat jellied eels if they can avoid them and whatever the man on YouTube says I have one thing to say to you - caveat emptor! You do not want to spend your holiday stuck in the toilet!
LB, sorry to hear that you had sleepless night, and that new storm is on the way. Hope you will stay dry when you go to the town. Must admit that guy on video didn't eat them, just tried and sent back. π
