Good morning Ante and all arriving soon. I had a much better sleep last night and wasn't disturbed once so I'm feeling more human. I started on my second week of twice daily BP readings - as requested by the surgery. I have never yet got two lots of readings that are the same!
Ante, you must be very excited as your holiday gets closer. Tolkien is such a brilliant writer but I have to be in the right frame of mind to read his books.
Got my tea and cereals. It is not raining here so maybe, just maybe, I will be able to get into my garden later.

    Morning all.
Ante, I had a laugh at your free showerπŸ˜‚ At least it will save on the Β  billsπŸ˜‚
Looks like it has been raining again overnight here. Our patio and path are full,of fallen leaves, wet and soggy, so can't brush them up yet. This time of year, I always think of a joyce and her problematic leavesπŸ™‚
Son has commandeered OH (next month )to help with decorating their bedroom. It's getting the full works, old furniture out, new paint and wallpaper , new carpet and so on and as it's a big room it will take some doing. The rest of the house has been done over the years so now it's time for their room to get sorted out.Β

Good morning Hazel. I do not think you will be alone in having wet leaves everywhere. First job of to day is to clean out my bird bath - which is full of them!
@Biglad - a few Cyclamen pics for you:

These were the clumps rescued by the 'lumberjack' - happily settled
Sadly they have moved through their flowering so the pictures don't show them in all their glory and I didn't photograph all of my clumps - many more round the garden.

    Morning all,

Actually spent 5 hours in a bed last night ;)Β Β

Thanks for those pics @Ladybird4 - they show the kind of groundcover I'm after. You have reminded me that I've left them in the boot of the car though!

I've been out to rescue the chairs from the middle of the lawn. Before and after pics would've shown 4 invisible people sitting neatly around the patio table progressing to the aftermath of a drunken row - chairs all over the place :D Fortunately they don't seem to have damaged any of the plants that they went through/over.Β

I'd foolishly left some potted cuttings on a table so a couple had blown off. The salvias look fine but I had to go hunting to find one of the pots that a sempervivum had been chucked out of.

Morning Biglad - Debi must have invited her friends around then? How very dare they have a party without inviting you! As I've said before, I just let my cyclamen seed wherever they like. They like being under shrubs and trees. I am always fascinated by the seed heads with their curly, spring like stems that help to push them down into the ground. Better rescue yours from the boot!

    Good morning,

It’s a much calmer day today. Yesterday became windier as the day wore on, and it rained heavily. No casualties in the garden as far as I can tell other than a blown over pot. Everything else seems to have stayed put.

I planted some cyclamen on Saturday. They look very bright and cheerful in the garden, and I’m hoping they will spread over time.

Id better get on. Have a good day.

Yes - I just get to clear up after them @Ladybird4 . Standard really! Got all my goodies out of the car boot now.

Quiz question. Which is longer - an elephant pregnancy or Biglad growing a lemon?

Hmmm let me think Elephant pregnancy 22 months. Biglad growing a lemon - impossible but Biglad owning a lemon tree he tends carefully - definitely doable! That is impressive Biglad! My lemon trees just die on me so I've given up.
