Good morning everyone . LB have a lovely visit with your Bestie .Itβs wet Β and windy here .Hope everyone is well .Itβs very quiet on here this morning .
I was sorry to hear your sad news @Ante1. Your poor pupil will be needing support.
Last night we went to the quiz night in the pub down the road with our neighbours who also have a house in France, N and B. We met a nice man, D, who was spending the night in the pub B&B so he joined our team. The pub was packed, there were 10 teams. It was all general knowledge with a picture round of Dingbats. N and D knew a lot and B was good at Dingbats. We won!
I went for a lovely walk yesterday afternoon. I haven't walked much recently because it kept tipping with rain in Dordogne and when it wasn't raining there was gardening to do.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good afternoon all. Had a great time at Bestie's. The house sale is complete and she took the final meter readings today. It was obviously a poignant time for her being in her partner's house for the last time but she will move on now.
Busy, well done on the quiz result and thank you for sharing those stunning pictures with us. Absolutely gorgeous!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
LB, I'm glad that you had nice time with Bestie, and that she is finished with house selling.
It was dry but windy day. One more day to go, and we will have seven day break. I'm going to make something for dinner and cup of tea. Whole day I have slight headache.Β Β
I've had a little peek outside and it is raining. Should I be surprised - not flipping likely! I have a heap of stuff to do in the garden though so I'll grab any opportunity.

Shouldn't have much work to do today and I've got a dentist appointment this afternoon Β Β
Anybody else get immediately wound up when somebody (nearly every politician, it seems) starts talking with "Look!" or "Listen!"? I left school a long time ago and still don't appreciate being addressed in this way. The Transport Secretary on the BBC at the moment has answered every question with "Well look" and I haven't heard a single word he's said after that. My brain refuses to hear anything else. Sorry - lost me when you started talking down at me.
