Morning all. Rotten nights sleep, feel as if my brain has been awake all night. I plan on cutting back some hosts leaves this morning and seeing what else needs a trim. Perhaps the fresh air will clear the cobwebs.
Ante, have you got yourself an itinerary for London or will you just " wing it"? ie go places as and when you fancy and/or decide on the day where to go. Not long now before the day arrives, exciting......
LB, I thought once mum was nicely settled in her new accommodation that things would calm down for the family. From what my brother tells me, that is not the case. He has even said he will move her if things don't improve. Poor mum.ย
Son is bringing 23 to visit this afternoon. It feels ages since we've seen 23 so we are very much looking forward to seeing them both. They will certainly jig things up๐Ÿ˜‚
    Hoping @wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 Rosie is alright.๐ŸคžHi Rosie ย if you're looking in.๐Ÿ‘‹

Good morning Hazel. I'm so sorry to read that your Mum is still not settled. Hope things will improve. Try to rest after bad night, and before 23 arrives. Have a nice time with them.ย ย
I have plans for every day of my staying, but most of the time will be wandering around. This time I want to avoid major tourists attractions and see more local things, and small restaurants. I'm preparing myself for one dish, but I'll see when I come there.ย ย

That sounds ideal Ante, go with the flow as they say. That dish sounds intriguing๐Ÿค” Not long now is it? Mum is actually doing okay now thanks, it's family who aren't satisfied๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™„

    Morning all,

Been up a good while - caught up on Beechgrove and MotD. It's fine at the moment but there is some grot incoming later. Best get out and about whilst the going is good.

Son and 23 came this morning instead of later. We had a rip roaring time with them, culminating in the loudest, funniest and noisiestย game of Snakes and ladders๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Prior to that, I was playing catch a Christmas Pudding up and down the stairs, with 23. ( ball shaped soft toy in shape of xmas pud. 23 loved it and kept cuddling it, think he fancies it๐Ÿ˜‰). all such great fun, our spirits have certainly been raised high today, bless them both. Haven't laughed so much since probably their last visitโ˜บ๏ธ

23 was asking how many more days until panto and sleepover, bless.

Good afternoon everyone. Boy but it is Baltic here and the dratted rain arrived just after 10:00.
Ante, is the 'dish' by any chance Fish and Chips? If it isn't then I think you have to add that to your list as well
@rowlandscastle444 were the poppies on that wonderful display knitted/crocheted?
@Biglad, did you manage to get 'out and about'? You were lucky if you did.
Hazel, I am so glad that you explained your game as for a brief second I had visions of currants, sultanas and raisins splattered all over your staircase! It is quite magical how infectious the laughter of little ones can be and the wonderful way they have to raise spirits.

Hazel Rosie is resting . She has hurt her foot . Itโ€™s very bruised and painful . She has a foot support . She is not going to A@E .

    Not for long @Ladybird4 :(ย ย

Most of what I want to do in the garden is better suited to dry conditions. I did drain enough out of the water butt to leave enough room for the next downpour to fill itย  :Dย ย

Then nipped to the GC - cyclamen, pernettya, pieris and a couple of nice pots.
