After what seems like weeks of constant rain, often heavy, flooding rivers and strong winds we have just had a day of sunshine. I was able to plant the rest of my violas in the borders, do a bit of weeding and shorten the shrub roses to protect them from wind rock.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
So pleased you've had brighter weather.ย It's been wet all day here, and due to go out this evening. I'll get wet, but I'm just so pleased we have got this part out of the way.
That is excellent news. So pleased for you and your OH. BTW your skin is waterproof! ย
I reckon you can share that 'yippee' too @Biglad (Dentist!) I know it seems almost like a big weight is lifted off your shoulders each time you finish one of these jobs. I think you are right about next week's weather too.
Glad you managed to get your violas planted Busy.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Signing out for tonight. Got a new toy to play with. SGL, my time slot was 13:21 to 14:21 and Lewis (the driver arrived) at 14:20 - so not too bad. See you all in the morning. Enjoy your evenings - whatever you have planned.

Goodness @rowlandscastle444, a close shave. But excellent news and now is the time to relax, regroup and take a breather before things start in earnest with the rest of the move. I'm so pleased for you though and glad it's all worked out well for you and OH. Great news.๐

Got a call this afternoon to say I will be finishing on Friday. Fingers crossed that's work done for 2023!
Can't wait until next week when the biblical, rain, snow, cold and pestilence will no doubt arrive to deny any gardening activities.
