My little river that was very low in the summer has started to overflow. The lawn is squelching. More rain is forecast.
We've been hanging family photos up the stair well. I've searched the loft again but 4 photos are missing, sister in law as a child, me as a baby, my parents wedding day and my father in his army uniform when he fought in the war. They should have been in the same box as the other photos. The removal men made such a mess of the packing.
I hope your move goes smoothly @rowlandscastle444, better than mine which wouldn't be hard.

Thank you, @Busy-Lizzie My wife has been helpfully packing bo.es. Only thing is, that some of them now weigh a ton (probably not literally), so either no-one can lift them, or the bottoms will fall out, when lifted more than a couple of inches off the ground. We have SO MANY books. Most of them are mine!! We need smaller boxes.
I hope nothing gets lost in the move. Or left behind.

Was just chatting about mum today and found it real funny that she should be engaging with a young lad on an ipad when she hasn't turned hers on for decades.🙂 And considering her age and her defiance against going into a Home, I still find it remarkable how well she has settled. I, unfortunately, still find it a little hard going. Im signing out for today. Night all.
Hazel, you yesterday mentioned heating, and we still don't use it. It's unusually warm, every day temperature is around 22℃.
Another night and morning with very high wind and rain. It's not pleasant at all. Pets are fed, I have my tea, and birds must wait rain to stop. I already have apple strudel in oven, and whole kitchen smells delicious. Hope you all had a good night sleep.
Good morning Ante and all arriving later. Wow Ante, that is a super warm temperature. It is 7°C here right now but it will probably rise a little as the day progresses. Apple strudel sounds wonderful!

Good morning all. Forecast looks good for our bonfire party. Soup is made, potatoes are baked ready to be turned into boats and the pulled pork and beef are defrosting. I have sparklers but we don’t do fireworks as so many neighbours put on a good display. Going outside in a while to tidy patio and set up chairs etc . Hope it stays dry.
