Debs, it is really nice to see you back. You have been missed and from your post it is very understandable. Fingers crossed everything is back on a more steady base now. You get today's virtual hug.
Ruby, I hope that you managed to get back to sleep. It is raining here this morning. Ante, I know it will be a little sad for you today - memories brought back but after you have paid respects with your Mum at the cemetery you can make the most of your day. Your quince jelly sounds delicious.
Hazel, those two teeny trees are really sweet and I can imagine your Mum's delight when she sees whichever one (or maybe both) decorates her room.

Debs, it's so nice to see you again. Hope everything will be back to normal very soon. At least you have better situation at work. Wish you all the best.
LB, time passed so quickly. Few more days and we will be all in decorations and cards, and all lovely festive things.Β
Ante your mum will appreciate you taking her to the cemetery. Debs .good to see you . Pleased that things seem to be settling down for you . LB I hope your weather is better than ours .
Good to have you back @debs64. I hope you have a good holiday and things start to improve for you.
I love quince jelly. My son makes it. I don't have a quince tree.
We are staying with Daughter 2. It's been raining but it stopped long enough yesterday to walk around her lovely garden. She has over 120 roses, lots are climbers on the fences and outbuildings. Her house used to be a farm.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all, white rabbits white rabbits white rabbits.π°π°π°
wet and windy here and the leaves are falling.
@debs64, it is nice to see you again but sorry life has been treating you not so well. Hope you are looking at a calmer time ahead for you and your fiancee( despite his distance from home) and family.
Thanks folks re wee trees. @Red maple, I'm really pleased for you and OH that the car passed its test and the service went well. Phew, another year clear now.....π My OH Β is like a cat on hot bricks when the cars in for its MOT. Done some indoor jobs today and checked the greenhouse......the one little rose cutting that is hanging on, has got a teeny weeny bud /shoot coming out of the side of the stem and two little new leaves has appeared. I'm so chuffed and just keeping my fingers that it may survive. Wouldn't Β that be nice?
I had very little side effects from my Covid injection .OH felt quite poorly for twenty four hours. Had a very lazy day.Itβs started raining again and the wind is getting up .
Good afternoon all. I've been entertained watching my next door neighbour continuing the demolishing of the gigantic Leylandii between our two front gardens. He is getting there but eventually the wind and rain stopped play. Its amazing how much light is getting into my house now. I did go out to chat to him because I was worried that he was over reaching at one point. He actually climbed into the middle of the multi trunked monster. The last thing I wanted was him falling out of the tree so the timely intervention of the rain helped put my mind at ease. I don't think it will be much longer before it is just a few brown stumps.
Busy, I do remember you telling us of your daughter's roses before. If I remember correctly, the last time you were there not all of them were fully opened. They must smell delicious when they are.
Red maple, good to hear that the car passed its MOT. I, like you, always have my car picked up when it has to go in for a service. It will be 2 years before this one needs it and then another year before its first MOT.
Ooh Hazel:
that news on the rose is sounding really hopeful.
Ruby, I'm pleased that you haven't had too bad a reaction after your vaccination but a shame for your OH.

Lovely to see you back @debs64, sorry to read youβve had a difficult time but pleased that things seem to be getting better.
The car passed its MOT and service without any nasty surprises, thank goodness.
The little trees are pretty @Songbird-2, glad you were able to find some.
