My dinner party went well though. The 2 couples seemed to get on well, they hadn't met before. One couple lives in our village and they too have a house in France.

Not me on roller skates @Busy-Lizzie … not with my kñees!😱

Glad you enjoyed your own dinner party … that’s always a sign of success I feel 😃

    Morning.

Sorry I’ve been super busy and, reading back, I have missed loads!

Special mention to @AnnaB - my sympathies and a hug.

Also, I hope ‘things’ are improving @Hostafan1. Keep well hydrated!

    Take care all.

Morning everybody, grey and overcast here with heavy rain expected this evening.
I need to pot up all the heucheras I dug up yesterday after I put yet more washing in the machine.

Glad the dinner party went okay @Busy-Lizzie, always a slight concern when some guests don't know each other. OH has a foodie friend coming to stay soon and already I'm slightly stressing as to what I can cook.

Hopefully your unexpected guests will take your mind off the tooth extraction @coccinella, you'll be so, so glad to get that over and done with. It's been a long drawn out saga for something so simple. I did wonder the other day whether you should have popped over to Poland and have it done - I understand their dentists are very good and very reasonable.

Good news indeed @punkdoc - the pre -op I mean not the hard frosts!

Hope your enjoy your SIL and niece's visit @tui34, nice for you to have some company.

Hello everyone. 20 degrees, with rain predicted later, so not a bad start to the day. We are going to town soon ( when Hubby returns from unlocking the fire shed for some mechanics). I sometimes wonder where everyone else is hiding. 🤬. It’d be nice to have a break from the various demands.  Whinge, whinge.

  • Morning all,

Holiday is still blissfully relaxing, just a beautiful place. Went for a stroll around the grounds yesterday and stumbled across the kitchen garden, loads of herbs and little tomato and aubergine plants. Obviously not enough to service all the guests, but a nice thought they they're growing some of their own herbs. All the gardens are lovely too, although there does seem to be an entire team devoted to managing it - if only....😁

Hope you're feeling a bit better @Hostafan1 and good luck with the extraction @coccinella

Off to local town this morning and then back for a full body scrub in the spa.

    Have a good day all.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Overcast and 12C here, and a quiet day ahead … just taking OH to work and picking him up again, and a bit of seed sorting to do.

Glad the holiday is reiaxing @D0rdogne_Damsel … sounds just the ticket. 🏖

Yiu know what they say @Pat E  … if you want something done ask a busy person 😉

    Hi all
from a very sunny and crisp Sheffield. The birds are going wild out there at the moment, they must know something. The Redwings have arrived and are devouring the Yew berries and the Beech trees have the first hint of buttery yellow on their leaves.
How can you lie there and think of England

The rain has arrived 👏👏 as well as thunder.  Ok. 👍. It would be so good to get some water in the dams.
