Now there are snow flakes combined with rain. 😳 Ā  The wood fire has been stoked. It’s nearly horizontal. What a morning.

You do seem to get all weathers @Pat E. Hope a proper spring comes along soon.
OH birthday today, nothing planned as he is away, maybe next weekend. I still have a slight pain where the tooth was and the cheek feels bruised. Yesterday I brought in the smaller aeonium pots and covered a large one which will also has to come in as soon as OH is available.Ā

  • Good morning everyone,Ā  chilly here, bit of white on car roofs but not much. We got home yesterday mid afternoon. I need to get on and rebuild the protection for the Lemons,Ā  hoping we've got away with it,Ā  as I didn't have time before we went.Ā  It's supposed to warm up a bit again later in the week.
Glad you had a good holiday @D0rdogne_Damsel hope Charlie gets his luggage soon.Ā Ā
    Welcome @Chelonie
    Best wishes to all.Ā

Afternoon all, we're back as well after a very enjoyable overnight stay with son, DIL and the grandchildren. I hadn't seen the grandchildren since May, it's amazing how they've grown, my 12 yr old GD is now as tall as me. Had a tedious journey home this morning due to various diversions and roadworks. Popped in at Tesco's at Shaftesbury, our usual halfway loo stop, where we also bought sandwiches for a late lunch. I've since discovered I've left my newish bifocal glasses there, probably on the counter, as I have this weird habit of taking them off to talk to people. Such a nuisance as I'll have to drive back tomorrow and it takes an hour to get there. I'd previously thought I'd left all my pills at my son's house and then found them in my handbag after all. Talk about old ageĀ  creeping up fast!

It was very cold (about 3c) early this morning in Bournemouth which is unusual. DIL had to leave very early to drive to Heathrow where she's flying to Cyprus on business so didn't envy her that journey but at least it's warmer over there.

Glad the tooth extraction is healing @coccinella. On the way home I picked up my sedative prescription for the forthcoming dental work and the pharmacist just laughed at me when I enquired whether I should take one today to 'practise' as I hadn't had them before. She told me to take one about half an hour before the appointment so they must work quite quickly? It's 2mg Diazepam.

What a nuisance about the new glasses @Lizzie27 Ā šŸ™„ but at least you know where they are 😄

I’m sitting in Notcutt’s Ā car park with my book. OH had a short day today so I picked him up at 3 … home at 3:20 cos of school traffic … however they’ve all had to go in for a H&S training session 5-6. There’s no point in me driving home … the A11 is pretty busy at this time of day, and with the roadworks as well by the time I get home it’ll be time to turn around and come back … shame the garden centre shuts at 5 … or p’raps it’s a good thing …
