Just read back what I typed yesterday, absolute rubbish, OH didnāt have an angiogram, it was an echocardiogram. Not an invasive procedure at all, but still had to drag him there - hates anything medical! Woke to rain this morning, and worse forecast for this afternoon. Late start after a sleep in, OH is planning to install the new radiator, I will be plumbers mate! It is a like for like replacement so praying it will be straightforward, never seems to work out like that though. @ch3shirecat4, only ever bought our radiators from places like Wickes, and theyāve all been fine. This one is from B and Q, as the original ( flat vertical style) had come from there, and we wanted as near a match as possible.
Oo that stained glass is superb, really gorgeous!Ā
A rainy day here so Iām catching up on some jobs whilst OH doing a pre-MOT check on my car. Sheās officially past middle-aged now, a bit like me!Ā
I hope the storm isnāt too disruptive for people. I think we will miss the high winds here but rain and thunder next 24 hours forecast. Take care all.Ā
@punkdoc ⦠please pass on my admiration to Moira ⦠thatās really lovely ⦠back in the day when I lived in a small village and had a large studio in the garden my best friend used to share the studio to make her stained glass panels, so I was able to watch close up ⦠itās not an easy process. Ā Tell her to watch out for problems with her right (or left if left handed)Ā thumb joint ⦠keep flexing it.Ā
Iāll watch the Cromer one if/when Babette heads up our way. Ā Looks like surfās getting up on the Norfolk coast  ⦠thereās a few boards out already šš¼āāļøĀ
Afternoon all, all is well here after dental onslaught this morning. My face is still rather numb but I've just ate a light lunch. Sedative worked a treat and my dentist was very good at giving me frequent breaks between work. I've got another appointment in two weeks time for the permanent crowns to be fitted.
When we left the house this morning , we saw our local farmer's tractor out in the lane cutting hedges and when we waved, he indicated that he hadn't forgotten about doing ours. It was done before I got back, a good job and only £30 which is very reasonable, he wouldn't take any more. It's one of the few remaining stetches of old native hedge along the lane, so we're anxious to keep it going. We find it difficult to maintain it now we're older.
That is such a lovely stained glass panel @punkdoc, congratulations to Moira.
The expected storm hasn't reached us yet, it's drizzly and windy but not too bad.
I'm not going to do much until the anaesthetic/sedative has worn off, keeping well away from sharp implements such as staple extractors/scissors/iron as I feel a bit sleepy.
Hope everybody keeps safe if/when the storm materialises.
Looking at the Cromer webcam again ⦠looks like the conditions are too much for a windsurfer ⦠ heās lugging his board and sail back up the beach.Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Pleased youāve had your dental treatment @Lizzie27 and that the sedative did its job. That was a very reasonable price for your hedge trimming, too.
I got out yesterday to do a little pruning, some of the roses had put on another spurt, despite being pruned only a few weeks ago, so I thought Iād better trim them back to prevent root rock.
The storm hasnāt reached us yet though itās getting a little windier and cloudier. It has been a great day for getting the bedding dry, though, and all but one sheet is ironed and that one will be as soon as itās dry which wonāt be long in this breeze.
Thats a lovely piece of stained glass that Moria has produced, @puncdoc.
Coffee and scone time now (OH has been busy making scones this morning) and a spot of tv (escape to the country - I love being nosey looking at the houses for sale, and always amused by the people who say the large kitchen āisnāt quite big enoughā and thereās only going to be 2 of them living thereš).

Lovely day here, before the storm arrives, trying to get some Cannas and Dahlias up, Knowing that hopefully I will be out of action soon.
