Hi all … for reasons too complex to explain son and I are stranded in mid Suffolk. We and another couple have been put in luxury lodges by a local farmer. This part of Suffolk is totally cut off.Ā
We’re fine so nothing to worry about, other than son’s car which was swamped by a prat driving a range rover too fast through a flood.Ā
    Hope everyone else is ok.

Your just going to have to sit or squat this one out @Hostafan1 and no more water sports by the sound of it! 🤣 x
@Dovefromabove and my lovely Bro, stay safe and keep in touch xx

Very thankful you finally went to the doctor, @Hostafan1. At least you can get sorted out now. How soon after your holiday did that start?
Sounds like quite a few of you are experiencing some terrible weather. Stay safe. Ok down here, didn’t get any rain today, and it was actually sunny. Looks like we only hit the edge of the storm, south Devon and Cornwall far worse. Ā

I thought there was an antibiotic for Crypto @Hostafan1? Make sure your hydration and electrolyte balance is good.

There is a lot of flooding in the villages around our cottage in Norfolk. I've seen photos on Next Door and Facebook. Our cottage is OK. We have cameras inside and out so we have seen it.

It has rained hard in Dordogne, much needed after the drought this year and last.

Glad you and son are safe @Dovefromabove, enjoy the luxury lodge while you can. Hope car gets sorted. Fingers crossed @Busy-Lizzie that OH's cottage stays ok.

We also seem to have got off lightly round here. Hope @Fairygirl and @AnnaB plus any others in affected parts are okay.

Do hope you get better soon @Hostafan1, you must be really fed up with it all by now.
As the others said, stay hydrated.
