Crazy weather again. After two nights without needing to light the wood heater, theyāve now had snow again at Perisher Valley. Ā Canāt get my head around it.
I hope you are all well. Heavy rain here too but nothing like what happened in the UK.
I still have bulbs to plant (PNissen, or rather their courier messed up again so the order arrived 3 weeks late) but not tge weather for it. OH has been busy with jamboree on the air yesterday, he says never again, because it takes up a lot of time sorting the equipment before and after. Hahaha I will believe that when I see it. Well, it's going to be a bit of a boring day, glad I can xstitch.
Good morning all š āļøĀ So wonderful to wake up in my own bed ⦠my dear OH said that yesterday morning he started to make me a cup of coffee ⦠š i never want another 24 hours like that again. Iāll tell you more when Im on my laptop Ā ā¦Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I've seen photos and videos @Dovefromabove and I know those villages, we often pass Hoxne and I bought a watercolour painting in Debenham. It must have been quite scarey.
We are going to lunch with Son 2, dentist, today. They have 5 young children so it should be a lively time.
So disappointing about the rugby. First France, then England.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad youāre home safely after your hairy journey @Dovefromabove. The floods have been terrible, a lot of cleaning up to be done.
I hope your garden wonāt be as badly damaged as you fear when things dry out a bit @punkdoc , and that you can get some help in to do the repairs. Thank goodness your house was unaffected though and that you and Moira are safe.
An interesting cloud @Pat E . It looks a bit like Concorde.
A lazy day here today, the garden is too sodden to do much. Expecting the builder tomorrow to repair the flashing on the extension. Luckily, the water seems to have stopped dripping in now itās drier.
Hello all, I hope those of you with flood problems are drying out and Dove and son are over their experience. Brr can't get used to the change in temperature here, there is snow on the peaks and the Pic du Midi is looking splendid with the observatory on the top. We spent yesterday emptying the summer annuals out of the pots and replacing with Pansies for the winter, they usually flower well here all through the winter on the south facing terrace. My daughter was due back from Rhodes today but Easyjet rang at 5.00 am to say their flight was cancelled, such a bummer as the hotel they were in was closing for the season but she says she has found another nearer the airport.Ā Have a good day all.
Good morning folks. Just wanted to say firstly,"report of my death have been greatly exaggerated". Its my birthday, yesterday I was 27, like so many others, today I am 37, boy the years go quickly. Nothing planned (post the b****** Covid. Nearby daughter grandkids popping over later. Hubby, who always complains I don't appreciate"things", (although I do think you shouldn't need praise for everything....long story, bad childhood) I did appreciate: him getting up to the puppy, cooking my breakfast, kitchen gleaming, and washing on line. Hosta,my friend, what is up?
