That's interesting @Ergates - you were allowed in with your OH.Ā  I didn't think I would be when the time finally arrives.Ā  Sorry to hear about your friend though.Ā  Oh, just read your second post.Ā  Yes - I'm allowed in for the echocardiogram.Ā  I look forward to seeing my OH's flapping heart valves!

Gorgeous stained glass @punkdoc.Ā  Congrats. to Moira.

Back in from a long meeting about our website.Ā  All the towns in our area are getting audits of our visitor-facing websites.Ā  Eye opening.Ā  I see what visitors see, but I don't see what search engines see and it is the mighty search engines we need to pay attention to as that is how visitors find us!Ā  Ā  And a bus. assoc. meeting this evening.Ā  Already had half a dozen apologies so I expect we will be very thin on the ground.Ā  So now - feet up to watch something about antiques on afternoon telly.

Commiserations to all having tooth problems at the moment.
Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.
  • Good afternoon,Ā  the rain finally arrived around 2:30 here, we had a few spots late morning.Ā  Its steady rather than torrential at the moment very windy though.Ā  Managed a couple of hours at the plots this morning,Ā  it's getting clear little by little.Ā  Really waiting for the big men to shift the shed as promised,Ā  I've done as much prep as I can.Ā
We are supposed to go to a radio recording of the brain of Britain semi finals tonight, but if this rain continues we might give it a miss. We always have to queue outside and the thought of sitting all damp in a studio for a couple of hours isn't very enticing.Ā
Moira will be taking orders soon, very impressed.Ā

Well done to Moira @punkdoc, her stained glass is beautiful.

We went to the DIY place, bought various bits and pieces including a curtain rail for the other kitchen window, an axe for OH, some oil for oiling the stairs which previous owners had sanded and a new door handle for our bedroom.

We stacked logs this afternoon, not quite finished. The most rubbishy log delivery we've had, full of bark and dust and logs of different shapes and sizes.

    Morning all.

Ā Congrats to Moira, that glass work is lovely. Ā Hubby got quite good at that when we were living in Melbourne, and there are lots of sheets of coloured glass in our shed, but he hasn’t done any work since we moved back to NSW. šŸ˜. There’s always so many other jobs to do on the property. Ā Also, he’s worried about small pieces of glass being spread around the farm shed. We probably should try to sell the sheets, but he needs to be in the mood.

I was going to say evening all but glancing as my clock, perhaps I should say morning all?
My rather nasty cold has thankfully taken itself off to pastures new and I am feeling more human than I was a couple of days ago. The rain didn't arrive here until late afternoon but things have been very windy since yesterday evening. Hope you all stay safe and damage free when/if storm B arrives in your area.
Poor daughter is in a bit of trouble. Yesterday she was spending her day clearing one of the areas here on the farm which was in need of a bit of a tidy up and right at the end of the day she moved some heavy material and moved badly giving her back a nasty jerk. Not good, much pain. However with the help of some painkillers she managed the night and today has spent her time either flat on her back on the bed or taking slow careful walks around outside to gently keep things moving rather than have them seize up. She is cursing herself as she does have back problems and should have known better.

    Beautiful Iris @Pat E.
Ā Glad to hear that the teeth problems are resolving themselves without too much pain and trouble.
Ā That window that Moira has created @punkdoc is both beautiful and amazing - you have a very clever and artistic lady there.
    Sleep well everyone.
