Waving at you @Allotment Boy 👋. You must’ve snuck over the border when I was picking the dahlias. 😉 Glad the rain wasn’t too bad for you … it was grim here for a bit. Have a lovely weekend 🎉
Sorry you’re in pain @punkdoc … hope it eases soon. Take things a bit steadier 👩⚕️
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Tooth or I should say cavity is OK, no pain, no bleeding. But mustn't be tempted to weed as bending over a little risky as Ergates has kindly pointed out. So I picked some flowers and just wandered around. It's another lovely afternoon but we had some bad winds at night that scattered all my plastic containers. I might go for a short walk and then cross stitch until Strictly. Nice weekend to all
Waving back @Dovefromabove👋 At least it's dry and bright today but a cool breeze. @Hostafan1 with campylobacter you have to starve it out. Drink water that's been boiled and let cool, if you must black tea or coffee definitely NO MILK . Gradually reintroduce food after a minimum of 24 hours, start with dry biscuit and move on when you're stable. Avoid dairy for as long as possible, till you are clear.
Poor hostafan, hope that settles soon. I was going to tick the like button on your post, but thought better of it. However that’s a lovely pic of the ? Sparrowhawk @coccinella, when I used to treat children, I found that mums would often take advantage of the child being home from school for the day, and take them off to buy new school shoes after their extractions. So often arrived back later with a bloody mouth after all the leaning over, that I actually added it to the list of post op ‘don’t do’ activities, along with eating pizza before the numbness had worn off! Had our flu jabs and got my new distance glasses for driving at night. It’s been really sunny all day here, but very cold in the shade. Quite a chilly wind too. Big improvement after yesterday afternoon’s deluge though.
Evening all. Glad the journey went well and the French house is OK @Busy-Lizzie. It's warmer over there than it is here, it was only 5.6 c at 9pm today. Had to find my lightweight padded Jacket for my walk. OH went off for the day to a motor club event and I decided to get on with the dining room chairs project. Goodness me, each chair seat has over 150 staples to remove, 3 chairs took hours! I'm pleased with the results though, 3 done and 3 more to do. Hands are getting sore so will give it a rest tomorrow.
We didn't get such heavy rain as you did @Dovefromabove, fortunately for us, although the orchard path was a bit muddy this morning.
We've had a quiet day, but we spent some time looking at B&Bs in the Lake District for a short holiday next June. Found one we both like and booked it. Hoping to stay with SIL, BIL and friends on the way there and back.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning Forkers. 27 c on the veranda, and 16.6c in here. Nothing planned for the day which suits me very well. I haven’t turned on the news yet. I just know it’ll be all about the referendum. 🤬. Never mind, we have to move with the times.
