Morning folks. Chilly here but the sun is out.

Aunty duties yesterday so I slept well after a full-on day.

Happy Birthday @Fairygirl 💐 (mine is this week too!)

Have a decent Sunday all - hoping all worries and ailments will take a day off today.

Oo October Birthday week on here then! Anyone else?

It’s a beautiful Autumn day here - the colours of the leaves as they begin their change is glorious in the sunshine. I’ve just done some Salvia cuttings (Royal Bumble) and having a coffee outside.

    Morning all.

It was chilly this morning, but it has warmed up now that it's sunny and the stove is lit.

Sheets are on the line. I changed them just before I went back to Norfolk but no time to wash them. I've picked apples and pears and cherry tomatoes. Apple and blackberry pie tonight I think, OH loves it.

Time to go outside and do some weeding.

I’ve got a line of washing out too @Busy-Lizzie … it was flippin’ chilly hanging it out … only 10C now.  I’ve made a batch of squash, carrot and ginger soup, and prepped the veg etc for tonight’s supper of slow-roasted Red Poll silverside, roasted squash, roasted potatoes, Yorkshire puds, broccoli, mustard gravy and of course, horseradish sauce. The beef has just been seared, wrapped in foil and us in the oven at 220 for 30 mins, then I’ll turn the heat down to about 160 until I take it out to rest and whack the heat up for the roasties and Yorkshires.

  • Hi! I'm new here, and new to gardening. I'm disabled, so I can usually only spend a half hour or so a day at it, but today's half hour was delightful - I facetimed with my mom on the other side of the Atlantic and walked her through my garden and introduced her to my plants and talked her through what my plants are. We both had a blast! Tomorrow's job: plant the sempervivum in the bowl I painted yesterday. One of them is about drowning in babies trying to leave the nest!
