    I wonder why they did it?

     My Ispahan won't be changing it's name any time soon.

    Could somebody help me choose between Scepter'd Isle and Scarborough Fair for a rather shady south-west facing spot? Nothing overhanging but house on the east side and trees all around. I suspect it might not be the best idea but I'd like to fit as many roses as I possibly can :) Thank you!

    @cooldoc what a lovely smorgasbord of roses, three of those were on my shortlist to accompany Marie Ducher - Gruss an Coburg, Stéphane Bern and Nouchette. I keep greedily returning to Ducher’s website thinking should I or shouldn’t I..  I am trying very hard to resist!

    I also got a freebie of Gloire de Ducher once, but it didn’t suit my climate and I didn’t like the way the stunted blooms squatted low amongst the foliage.

    @Dasha
    I chose 'Scepter'd Isle' for a similar location and it did very well for a number of years until I wanted a change, so that's the one I would recommend to you..
