@WAMS lovely you ordered a Cadfael, I hope it does well for you too! I love mine. Its a greedy boy btw, responds very well to a good feed!
I didnt realise that Heritage they also have was an Austin, I hadnt seen it before. Very elegant.
My Mill on the floss bare root arrived today. Its bare root only so Im assuming on its way to being discontinued. Ive always liked it so figured better get it now before it is!
My August purchased Desdemona, PAOK and Penelope Lively are all settling in very well, former pair are covered in big fat buds again and Penelope is starting to reshoot too. Very pleased with all 3 so far, they really are beautiful roses.
@Fire ive got lady H - is yours balling terribly in rain? Mines in a not great spot but 2nd year has really started to grow.
It hasn't flowered this year. Fingers crossed for next year, now it has good canes on it.
Mine did virtually nothing last year either. Its got a really unusual scent, its like cotton candy! Sugary sweet, very striking. It balls terribly though - mines slowly creeping up the other side of Crown princess margarittes arch, with a bunch of clematis providing some shelter
My second-year Lady Hillingdon blooms - form, colour and frequency - weren’t a patch on the first year @Fire and @JessicaS. Seems to be another Tea that needs a drier and less extreme climate than mine.

I am absolutley not a rose person, I currently have none in my garden, however my beloved 16 yr old dog, "Super Trouper", recently passed away. So I have ordered three of these to play havoc with my colour scheme and remind me of him and his enjoyment of the garden during the summer.
@lesinnl thats a lovely idea. Im sorry for your loss. I like to plant something in memory of my beloved hounds too. Its a good rose so I hope it does well for you.
DA have released their standards today. The discount GARDEN23 does work, making them about £39.10 each... not too awful. But I am reluctant lest they use Evri for these, too- does anyone know what courier they use?
Damn couriers! I’m concerned about my bare roots since EU suppliers all use DPD these days and their Spanish subsidiary is crap - they recently lost my perennials order.
Last pic from me for a while, we’re off to the French Pyrenees tomorrow to visit some friends and their dogs, with our dogs.. a doggy madhouse awaits!
Thomas à Beckett has grown really well in it’s first year, some late blooms with a few minor proliferations:

@WAMS mine was delivered the next day by DPD.. I think they rely on more than one couriers.. previous years I have received from Parcel force as well..
