Supplemental:  The winds have toppled the obelisks that were holding Lady of Shalott and The Poet's Wife.

Can I prune them down now (I know roses are tough and resilient) and bed the obelisks in deeper or should I wait till spring before pruning?  I'd rather not snap anything whilst carrying out remedial works in case I do un-necessary damage.

Thanks, in advance, for your thoughts.
Hard to say what to do for the best without seeing the damage Peter. Is there no way you can just push the obelisks back in for now, maybe reinforce with a stake or three? Any snapped canes need pruning off, the soil re-firmed around the roots if they’ve been wrenched out the ground a bit, otherwise I’d try not to prune more than a third off at this time of year.

Not sure if that’s much use, I’m really just bumping your post to see if anyone has better advice for you!
    Thanks  @Nollie

I can trim off a third (the canes are about 4 ft) and that will allow me to upright the obelisks and bed them in better.  It will save me pruning them in February!

I thought that would be possible, but just wanted to check.  I'll do it on Sunday as tomorrow is meant to be more rain and wind.

I really hope you love it, Tack, as I do!

    Beautiful array as always, Eustace.

And my first rose parcel to go missing- claimed delivered but not shown in the photo which wasn't even taken from our property🙄- via Evri, David Austin. Why oh why can't they use a proper courier? Royal Mail is better! If they don't replace it (Eglantyne) I will cancel my other DA order.

I will be ordering Champagne Moment shortly. Does anyone have any tips for growing this best. I hope it will get tall in full sun.
