Morning everyone.  Still cool here, but bearable.

I’ve been watching the footage of the rain in Spain, because as always, we are following the annual bike race. 😳. I hope their route doesn’t take them to very badly affected areas, but we can only hope.

I’ve got a phone appt this morning with my Professor in Canberra. (Endocrinologist).  I am so pleased that he does the appts this way. It saves us a trip to Canberra.

It’s all go go this week. Final Delivery of firewood for the season, medical appts for both of us, power off all day Thursday, shopping one day. I’m losing track.

    Bye all.

    Good morning early birds!!

You have some lovely weather for this week, as do we, except the temperatures are 33°C in the afternoons.  It'll probably drop drastically as it did the week before last and bang goes the vegetable garden.

Really glad @Pat E  that your results are good.  My nephew and niece are in Madrid as you have probably read.  The rain has more or less subsided now so they could get out yesterday and organise their son with various cards and transport passes, SM shop etc before they leave on Thursday.

I hope you get relief @coccinella   Toothache and earache are the worst I always reckon.

Opthamologist appointment this morning for a routine check.  Other than that nothing exciting.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable day.

    Hello all

no you won't @Dovefromabove as I am heading to the pool and today I will be joined by a friend. Hubby has gone for his second shingles jab, he is not back yet.
In fact I have a question perhaps @punkdoc? These age limitations for jabs, are they because you don't need it before 65 in the case of shingles? Or money saving? I don't qualify yet for a free one, but I could have one anyway by paying (not a lot, to be fair). Should I?

Sun is shining, Autumn is delayed although in the morning there is that distinctive smell, I picked most of the basil and filled jars for the freezer. I love to use it in winter.

    Have a good day all.

    Hi all

Another beautiful day, went for my walk early to avoid the heat. The mist was just starting to rise.
@coccinella, I think with the vaccine for Shingles it is mainly that before 65, although Shingles would be painful, it would not have other major problems, whereas the older you get, the more likely Shingles is to give more serious problems.

  • I had a relatively mild dose of shingles in my early 40s … whilst being painful for a few days it wasn’t serious and I didn’t need the high powered pills the GP made available to me in case it worsened.

@coccinella … wasn’t someone else going for an eye test or did I dream it?

ive remembered why I woke in the night … I dreamt I didn’t have a black handbag for the funeral next week … so at around 1am I got out of bed and found two 🙄

    Morning Forkers,
We have another glorious day ahead, perhaps a degree or so cooler than yesterday but still very warm.
Ive an appointment later this morning, but other than that, no real plans for the day.
    Good news @Pat 👋.
Isnt it strange how our mind operates sometimes @Dovefromabove? At least you have two bags ready to choose from now. Hope you got back to sleep 🤞.
    Enjoy the day ahead everyone.
