    Good afternoon all!!

Hot here too but not as hot as you and the centre of France has 36°C !!  Mad dogs and Englishmen @Allotment Boy  Down here we stay indoors, shuttered and rest for the afternoon with cool water (or iced tea).... people go to the beach or stay around their pool area - in the shade.  Don't attempt to do 'those jobs'.  Just chill.

Exactly so,Ā  but in mitigation,Ā  IĀ  only did an hour,Ā  and IĀ  was in the shade. Rest of the afternoon indoors , we only ventured out agin at about 5:30 when the sun was off our garden.

Well what an unexpected result that was. Very debatable red card, and then assumed total dominance.
    France must be big favourites.
Really looking forward to S vs SA.

Minus 5.5 this morning, brrr! Ā So much for the season changing. Hurrah for spring. Ā šŸ˜

Strangely, the plants don’t seem to be affected. Lots of Acacia, Daffodils, Jonquils, and Forsythia. Ā Everywhere is yellow. 😁

our neighbour emailed Hubby and asked if his son could drop 20 sheep into our paddocks. We don’t mind since it helps with fire control and saves Hubby mowing etc.

Another bright and sunny morning … I’ve been watching the sunrise over the sea (on the Cromer webcam) and listening to Handel. Bliss.Ā
Will you be able to see the sheep from the house @Pat E ? Ā Are they pregnant ewes or perhaps they’re the rams being kept Ā separate from the ewes until it’s time for them to do their work again? Ā  The spring flowers sound gorgeous.Ā

    Good morning,
another bright and warm start to the day. Had some rain and thunder storms yesterday evening and through the night and more are forecast for later today. Grass is already looking brighter.
OH was pleased with the rugby result last night.

They are a bit hard to seeDove, because they seem to prefer to eat a bit behind a hill. I assume they are unfertilised ewes, but nothing has been sai.šŸ˜. We’re happy to have a bit of help keeping the grass Down.

    still very cold today.Ā
News has been a bit hit and miss about the earthquake. Maybe they can’t get their cameras in.Ā

  • I agree @Pat E … with over 2,000 dead there are probably bigger priorities than getting news cameras etc in … presumably flying as many tourists as possible out will be important to lessen the demand on services.Ā

    Morning all and G’day Pat.

Although a bit cooler last night I was very warm so when I had my morning request for cat brekky at 5am, I made a cuppa and sat outside in the soft rain. It’s spitting again now, possible thundery showers coming. Looking on my lightning app - there’s some Taunton way so if it heads north we may have some rumbles.Ā

Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks.Ā

    Good morning folks

Beautiful day here too - and hot.

I have friends in Marrakesh on holiday at the moment. Ā They are all right but spent Friday night seated around the swimming pool - they are on their way back to France.

Glad the English won their game... it's going to be an interesting year. Ā I hope the Scottish come through this year.

Enjoy your Sunday and the lovely weather, it'll soon be autumn (which is the season I prefer the most - chestnuts and mushrooms a-plenty). Ā Warm days and cold nights.

Rained heavily during the night here. No walk this morning as the grass will be wet, so I have to bite the bullet and do some housework this morning. I’m assuming OH will be watching rugby again today. Off to Bath later in the week to babysit grandchildren, so a bit of prep to do for that.
Yesterday evening, I chopped down a medium sized laurel that had self seeded in the wrong place. I’d left it for a few years in case I wanted to transplant it somewhere, but haven’t needed it, and it had got far to big to move. I’ve taken all the branches off, and will get OH to chainsaw the trunk off. Very pleased I got round to it, it’s improved the view already.
