It’s September!!! How did that happen? 😉

But happen it has, and now we have a new thread where we can say hello, chat about this and that and the ephemera of life … congratulate and console as needed, and provide friendship as we share the wonders and the woes of being a human being and a gardener in the 21st century …
so find a comfy chair … the kettle’s on and there may be cake later … today’s effort is a Courgette, raisin and pistachio loaf cake …

    Good morning!!

    First up being the first;
       S!l fait beau à la Saint Gilles, cela durera jusqu'à la Saint Michel.
    Here's hoping!!
    A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

  • Good morning again folks 😊 ☕️
    Not particularly beau here this morning so far @tui34 … overcast and faintly drizzly … but we live in hope …
    Have a good time with your son @Pat E 😊

    Morning all.

    19C yesterday after lunch. Should be 26C today then getting warmer, 30C next week. Must finish painting, it gets so hot because of the velux over the stairwell.

    Need to go to the SM this afternoon, short on coffee, milk and shampoo.
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • I’m off to the farm shop and butcher in a bit … meat and veg for the weekends … and will have to pop in to Wrose for some ovenchips … son and I fancy steak and chips at the weekend. (OH prefers a chicken joint).

    Don't mention chips or cake @Dovefromabove! I'm trying to lose weight. Lost half a stone so far. Good thing the veg garden is producing.

    Morning, and happy September to you all. Very heavy rain last night, the patio was flooding when I took the badgers supper out. We had to put the gas stove on in the living room yesterday, would even have been tempted to put the central heating on but OH has some work to do on a radiator and wants to get that done before the system gets up and running.
    Its already quite warm this morning, and the sun is peeking out of the clouds. Keep thinking it’s Saturday today, which is a bit disorientating. I’ve a few phone calls to make before the weekend, so better get on with it, car service, Mot to book etc.
    Hope everyone’s aches and pains are easing.
