Morning all. Goodness you have all been so busy over the past couple of days perhaps due to the fact that most of us seem to have enjoyed some reasonable weather. However the rain is back once more here so indoor jobs are on the menu for us.
    Have a peaceful Sunday folks.
  • Bless OH … despite having painful joints(currently undiagnosed) but not arthritis, he’s made a start on the veg patch … tomatoes and courgettes are in the bin … he’s taking a break and will see if he’s ok to do a bit more today or leave it until later.  He also salvaged a bowlful of ripe little tomatoes.

While he was doing that I’ve prepped potatoes, parsnips, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli to have with slow-roasted shoulder of lamb this evening.

@punkdoc … now is the time for the application of logic and common sense. You’ll be fine. 🕊

    Hello all.

Yes it’s a change in weather again - not cold here (yet) though. House and homework today. I’ll be keeping an eye on the weather for next weekend as I’m going to Kew Gardens for an early Birthday treat 🍁🌳🌻

Enjoy Sunday all (see you all at @Dovefromabove ‘s for lamb dinner later !)

I echo what Dove said @plant pauper.  Be sure to look after yourself at this sad time.

    Lovely blossom @Pat E.

I wonder if the rave is an annual affair @D0rdogne_Damsel?  More regular and the novelty may wear off!

The opera in the barn sounds lovely @Busy-Lizzie.  Hope the tooth feels a bit better soon.  £1,000 for an extraction is far too much!

    Great news about Rob @Dovefromabove,

Although it was a nice sunny day yesterday people weren't in a buying mood (apart from the cakes - they always do well!).  I wasn't given a large enough pitch to put the few bits of jewellery I took out, so it was just the wool.  Lovely alpaca and good quality silk and cotton yarns too, the remaining stock from when I had my craft shop.  Only one sale all day.  Plenty of knitters telling me they already had too much wool and mustn't buy any more.  Out of the sun, where I was sitting, was cold.  I was glad when it ended and I could pack up and go home.

But these little markets are good for the town, so I may well have a stall again next year when they start up again, this time with just my jewellery.  I need to get my act together to photograph the wool and put it on ebay.  Or learn to knit.

  • Our vaccinations went smoothly,  no queue this time straight in. Though we could only book covid we were offered flu at the same time so one in each arm. Didn't even feel the covid one at all  both slightly tender now, but no problem so far.
Spent the rest of the morning in the garden,  still a lot to do in spite of spent most of yesterday out there.  The tree men failed to show, but I think there may be a good reason as they didn't come to neighbours either,  they do several in our street  usually.

  • Evening all

Back in from a busy day at work, just waiting for Charlie to arrive, he's out doing a 10k run, he's in his 1st competition in October and training hard.

I've got slow cooked beef stew on the go, just popped some dumplings in now, looking forward to it. It's been a lovely day, but as soon as the sun goes down it gets quite cool. I'm waiting for a log burner to be fitted, so no heat source yet except our snuggly fleece throws. Not needed them so far, but I feel it coming. Hope the fire gets fitted sooner rather than later.

The 'rave' is still on,-going, the music is better this evening, so far anyway! Apparently, it's legal and happens every two years.... but I'm pretty sure there's some 'illegal' substances being taken, who can dance for 96 hours non stop without something to keep you awake????

Hope all with poorly arms feel better tomorrow, @Hostafan1 soak up that sun, 11 days until I fly to Crete...

@Busy-Lizzie, hope your toothache eases, very frustrating to be so far from dentist son when you need him.

I'm having a Halloween Craft Market here @didyw, get yourself over here. 😁

Must go and get the broccoli on.

Have a good evening all. 😘

Morning everyone. I’m starting slowly (as usual) and Hubby is having a checkup at the dentist this morning.    I was pretty unhappy last night. Fire call out just as Hubby was starting to get started on dinner. 🤬 Anyway, once again, it was some idiot burning off on their place and of course it got away, didn’t it. By 9 pm, I decided to grab something to eat so had a slice of toast with Vegemite and a cup of tea. Hubby got home at 10 pm and grabbed something similar to stave off hunger. 😳 I’m not looking forward to our fire season.

  • Good morning all  :) ☕️
Thats really annoying @Pat E … is burning off legal where you are?

We have a dry bright and sunny start to the week … son has a fairly early start today so I’m just going to help him get dressed … he wants to leave in 30 mins or so …

    Good morning everyone!

My condolences to you @plant pauper   A sad loss.
The opera evening sounds lovely @Busy-Lizzie   Hope the tooth behaves itself until you get to see your son.
I think anyone who is going to have a general anaesthetic worries about it. @punkdoc
You wanted heat @Pat E  Looks like it is coming from all directions!!

Cooler nights here but lovely sunny days with around 27°C.

You all seem to be getting your flu' and covid vaccinations.  I hope to have the covid during October.  My chemist advised there is a new vaccination coming out early October so will wait for that.....in the meantime... distance!!  I usually have my flu' vaccination in November so that it will last until March when bacteria is @punkdoc

Enjoy the first day of the week!
