    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
3mm @Pat E ? Perhaps the raindrops you heard were big but well spaced out so some missed the tunnel of the rain gauge? 😉

A dry still morning and 12C here in Norfolk. OH and I are thinking we might go out today …

    Good morning all,

Thanks for the advice on cleaning oven glass doors, I'll try to get hold of some. Tried good old-fashioned elbow grease this morning but found it rather tiring so am now recuperating with a coffee. OH has gone to fetch the paper so I will walk down to meet him later. Not sure what to do today, the weather looks dreary and rather windy, don't know whether we'll get the remnants of the forecasted storm later.

Enjoy your day out @Dovefromabove and everybody else who's out and about.

I'm afraid we succumbed to a professional oven cleaning outfit @Lizzie27 - all came out sparkling and like new!  But vows to keep it clean fell rapidly by the wayside I'm ashamed to report.

No meetings today - chance to catch up on a report I have to write to show how we used the funding we received for the Festival we held in the summer.

Hope everyone's days are without incident!

  • Afternoon folks. Been madly busy night and day with new puppy. I have an induction hob,I clean it with washing up liquid, hubby uses glass cleaner. Re the oven glass door, oddly enough, just read on another site The Pink Stuff, which I use and scrunched up foil (gives me and my teeth the Willie's thinking about that!)  Well, have been ill 3 days.... every classic Covid symptom, thought I was dying the last night and day, could barely walk to the toilet. Yesterdays test was negative, but my youngest daughter said she often found this,so re testing tomorrow.
  • You folks know about my neighbours,12 years we have lived here. In all that time, neither side has cleaned a window or conservatory. One side has gone through the green phase,to black mould now.

    Evening folks.

Take care to those with the storm coming - we are expecting a blustery night here.

I hope you feel better soon @NannyBeach  rest, fluids and paracetamol for you.

Ooof - oven cleaning! Hate that job! There are loads of products about but Bicarbonate paste is good. Nothing beats wiping it over every day though (not that I do).

It's windy here, no rain or storm though.

OH has spent the day in bed, coughing and sneezing. I've cancelled the restaurant I'd booked for tomorrow, re-booked for next week. I hope he is is OK on Saturday, my sister, her OH and a friend are coming for lunch.

I went to the GC, bought 4 trays of violas and have planted 3 of them, done some weeding and dead heading.

  • We had a lovely day at Cromer .., a gentle stroll, cod and chips for lunch followed by a pistachio icecream. We’re home now and supper is a bowl of courgette, pea and mint soup with wholemeal toast. Son is ordering himself a kebab.

All that sea air has made me quite drowsy… I’ll read back to see what you’ve all been up to a bit later.

Hope you’ve got your hatches well-battened, those of you
expecting Agnes. The webcam at Porthleven looked a bit rough earlier …

Thanks for the suggestion, @steephill. I was just cleaning my induction hob with the cleaner I had bought for it, so I thought I’d try it on the oven door. Amazing, got the baked on grease spots gone in moments. I was very impressed!
Howling wind outside now at nearly 9 pm. Glad we are tucked up inside.
