I grow Clerodendrum trichotonum, but not that beauty, @Hostafan1

Morning all. Our weather can’t make up its mind!  Hot one day and snow another.  There is supposed to be rain as well later this coming week.

It’s hard to believe that September is almost finished.  We were looking forward to a good fruit season, but as usual a late frost will no doubt put paid to that idea.

    Good morning
Sorry about your bed of strawbs @AuntyRach. You'll have to start again, perhaps nematodes?

Today I am transferring an abelia from a pot to ground. It is a plant I inherited from my neighbour last year. She sheltered it in winter, but I don't have space, so take your chances Abelia.
I am hoping OH will continue weeding but mustn't overdo it otherwise there will be two with chronic backache. We might go to a concert this afternoon. It's free and should be good, but I am afraid of catching something just before the appointment for the tooth.
Someone had to mention Christmas sooner or later, @Dovefromabove 😄

  • Good morning all  :) ☕️
A beautiful full moon is just setting in a clear milky blue sky and the morning is quiet and very still

We haven’t seen son since he left for work yesterday morning as he was meeting up with musician friends down in Suffolk last night and staying with one of them overnight to save the long journey back here.

OH will be at work today … there’s not a lot that must be done here so, as I still have a stuffed up sinusy head, I’ll have a quiet day with a book and/or my knitting etc.

Hope everyone’s Saturday is all you want it to be …

The moon was spectacular last night Dove. Not a cloud to be seen.  Our clocks are going forward on Sunday night. 😊

    Morning all.

The moon was glowing at 4am, lighting up the garden.

I never knew Abelia needed shelter in the winter @coccinella. I had 2 in my old garden in Dordogne. They survived -10°.

My sister and her OH are coming to lunch today. They are staying the weekend with a friend who has moved to quite near us.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Coccinella, that was MY Strawberry bed!!! Mind you, AuntyRach is welcome to it. Well, folks, I have weathered the Covid storm. The old man has got it now, our daughter who thankfully lives 5 miles away now, brought puppy food last night, ruby thanked her,by peeing on her, not once but twice!

    Morning all.
I've to be out of my room at 12, then a 4 hour wait for the bus to the airport. I expect to get home around 2am
    Devon.
