Oh no @coccinella - getting all psyched up for it and then having it cancelled at the last minute!

    Lovely sunset @chicky

I was planning to be in the garden this afternoon, but I think I might need to go into town with my OH as he had a bad night with chest pains and is dreading the walk into town (he isn't a driver) for provision. Plus we both need to pick up meds from the chemist  - which is in the other direction.

That is disgraceful, @coccinella. Worth checking with the specialist if there is any way they could do the extraction at the appointment booked for the 13th? Hopefully they will have all your medical history and the xrays. Good suggestion from Dove, very worthwhile getting a prescription filled for antibiotics, not to prevent an abscess, but to have ready with you to take should you start getting a problem. Your usual dentist should do that for you, it’s not uncommon. If you can get mouthwash containing chlorhexidine gluconate ( available over the counter here) that can be useful as a short term measure. Ask your dentist for current advice on this.

The weatherman said we may get some good sunsets this week because there's Saharan dust off the west coast

  • Good afternoon everyone,  Scorchio here 🥵 . We didn't have a good night too warm. We went to  Tyntesfield (NT) near Clevedon,  lovely day but a bit too warm in the direct Sun,  we would have walked round the grounds more if it hadn't been so hot, but what we did was great.
I was going to suggest Chlorhexidine Gluconate  too , very effective  the big brand name here is Corsodyl, but the generic is just the same and far cheaper.

I will go to the chemist tomorrow, I have seen this Corsodyl on their shelves, don't think I need a prescription. I will ask for antibiotics when I see the surgeon Wednesday week, at this point I think it is too late to do it in time. I am not in pain but I have a sensation that there is something there and a metallic taste.

    Evening everyone.

What a scorcher today has been! Bonus day off today as I have meetings on my usual Wednesday off so I’ve been making the most of outside before the ‘back to school’ feeling kicks in tonight. The sun is beating down on my apples, tomatoes and pumpkin (yes,ONE) so I hope that’s all going to ripen beautifully this week.

I hope everyone is doing ok.

Beautiful day here, up to 27C. Unfortunately under gardener downed tools, saying it was too hot, and at the moment there is not much i can do by myself.

Extremely hot here by late afternoon, forecaster showing 32.6c so stayed indoors after lunch with the curtains closed. Cooled down later so had dinner on the terrace with a small bowlful of our raspberries for dessert. I asked my gardener if she'd prefer to cancel coming tomorrow and she said yes, please!  (I think she'd read the list of things I wanted her to do!).

That is such a nuisance @coccinella - unbelievable in the circumstances. Do hope you can something sorted soon.

Hope your OH is okay now @didyw.  We've arranged to stay with my sister soon who'll then take us over to see our younger brother. They don't live far from each other and saves him a journey if he's feeling rough.

We liked Tyntesfield too @Allotment Boy but you do need a lot of energy to see it all!

Was that Camber Sands @chicky? I wanted to visit when we were staying at Rye but we couldn't fit it in.

@Lizzie27 it was West Wittering - our nearest sandy beach.  Had such a good time yesterday that we repeated the experience this evening - and this time Mr C and littlest Chicklet swam.  I happily volunteered to stay and mind the bags 😉

@chicky, looked idyllic, lucky you having a sandy beach nearby, our nearest is probably Bournemouth, 70 odd miles away (we don't count Weston Super Mare!).
