Good morning one and all. I slept better last night and arm has improved slightly. It is so annoying though as I hadn't felt anything during my gardening and when it kicked off yesterday it was so painful. I am now fairly limited to what I can do until it recovers.
OK @Biglad, don't keep us in suspenders, what did you see at the cinema. Yes, I have to agree - cheaper online. I have a conspiracy theory. We are gradually being herded into our homes and eventually there will be no shopping other than online and we will be curfewed in case - heaven forfend - we spread colds to one another! Sorry, not had my breakfast yet!

Morning @Ladybird4 and all to follow. Haven't peeked outside yet, but it sounds breezy. Do hope it's not raining as well. Need to go to the SM.Β
LB glad to hear your arm is slowly getting better and you had a good nights sleep. Took me awhile to nod off but slept a bit better once I did.Β
Do hope we don't end up shopping on line for everything, I really don't like it. I like to see the quality of fabrics and the type of material. Don't mind books or something I've already seen in a shop, but otherwise I really prefer seeing what I'm buying first.Β
Thank you @Songbird-2 he seemed a little brighter when I spoke to him before bedtime. He has to take medication for a fortnight.Β
Has anyone seen @rowlandscastle444 there was a bit of an upset on another thread and he said he would leave the forum. I was hoping it was just that thread he wouldn't post on again.Β
Time for another cup of tea.

    Morning all,

"The Creator" @Ladybird4. There were 9 people in the audience. Another instance where you're disadvantaged if you don't have a phone or are forced to carry one (with your QR code on). It's an expensive ID card/tracking device, which I left at home last night :DΒ

Sounds likes it's been hammering down for most of the night. I wonder if the temporary pond is back...

@Rubee meant to say that must have been horrendous for your Gran. Sounds so barbaric 😱
Morning @Biglad I'm expecting to see a temporary pond outside too.Β
Can't see a thing outside at the moment, it's still pitch black.
Hope you enjoyed your evening at the cinemaΒ

Good morning SGL and Biglad. Still pitch black here too SGL. I haven't seen the thread that @rowlandscastle444 was on. I do hope that he hasn't left the forum. He was here on 18th so has that incident happened since then? I share your thoughts on looking/feeling materials and seeing items in 'real' life as opposed to just a picture on a screen when I'm buying things. I only used home delivery from 'sco 3 times during lockdown and I hated it. You can't beat a good mooch and the occasional impulse buy
Biglad, I get cheap 2 for 1 cinema tickets twice a week (day time only) with my insurance but I can't be bothered as I always have way too much more to do in terms of the garden etc. I haven't heard of that film. Did you enjoy it?
It tipped it down in the night and I suspect it may still be as I can just about make out raindrops on my windows. Was supposed to be visiting my Canasta friend but she texted last night to say it might be wiser to leave it until another day. I think she is right.

  • @Ladybird4 it was on the 18th he mentioned leaving.Β  But I've been able to send him a PM. Just hope he reads it and comes back to chat to us.

Morning all. It's pouring with rain and blowing a gale here this morning. It's still very dark here too.We were going to pop to the local market this morning and then take in Du**l* to look for a new rug, but we're going to stay in until things calm down...if indeed they do.
OH and I finally got round to watching the last episode of a programme all about Picasso last night. Wish we hadn't as I had a bad nights sleep last night, as I did Β after the previous two episodes. It did not make for pleasant watching regarding the man himself.Β
I, too, hope that @rowlandscastle444 doesn't leave the forum. I've seen the thread too SGL where there was some upset.Β

Good morning folks . I hope you are all keeping warm and dry. It’s hammering down here and the weather forecast is bad . Indoor work to do and then a bit Β of crafting I think .
  • I have had so many messages of support, that I have come back - but will limit my input.

It is not that I am upset, but rather, because of my epilepsy, I know I have a tendency to upset others.

Punkdoc was right to criticise me, and I don't want to be the cause of upset for others. I had not intended the upset, but my wife was correct to tell me I had been rather thoughtless in how I phrased my comment.

Thank you to so many for the words of encouragement and kindness. I must be more careful in future. I don't know who flagged my postings, but I accept how I phrased my comment was tactless.
