@Busy-Lizzie I turned it down to 12, months ago so the heating wouldn't come on. 😉 Haven't turned it up yet as house doesn't feel cold. But it must have been cold during the night as the heating came on. I can assure you once I feel cold the thermostat will be turned up 🤣🤣
Morning all. Chilly morning so feel Autumn has definitely arrived her. Big winter coat on today when we pop out. Busy, oh dear, tooth problems again, hope your son can sort it out for you. SGL, if you're anything like me, sometimes I still get hot flushes so that keeps me quite warm enough whilst others freeze 😂🤭 Son and 23 are popping over after school today. I've floated the idea to OH of taking 23 to the Jack and the Beanstalk and he's up for it. Now I just have to hope there any seats left as our Theatre does tend to book up rather quickly. Will run it past son and try to arrange a weekend night so 23 can sleep over...,which he'll love☺️
Good morning, it’s another bright but chilly morning again today. The heating kicked on first thing, so it’s pleasantly warm in the house. I hope you manage to get some tickets for the panto @Songbird-2. It should be a lot of fun - I’m already looking forward to seeing Aladdin at our local theatre. Plans today involve a little bit more pruning back of one or two roses that have put up some long shoots. I want to avoid root rock. I’ve also bought some winter bedding plants, so they need to go in. (Cyclamen and polyanthus). The weather is forecast to start changing from tomorrow afternoon here, so I’d better make an effort. Lilys tv is on again, too. I hope you all have a good day.
Good afternoon everyone .Hazel Rosie gets very tired ,she is resting . I am waiting for grocery delivery . OH had a bad night . Quite a nasty tummy upset .He is a little better but looks wan .
Afternoon everyone. Oh I'm sorry to hear about the bad tummy upset of your OH Rubee. Poor soul, has it settled a little as the day has gone on? Bland food and little milk( non is preferable with upset tummy/bugs and hope it eases for time soon. There does seem to a be a few stomach upsets going around. I hope Rosie feels better soon, I do know she gets very tired so hope she hasn't been overdoing things. @Red maple we are supposed to have heavy rain from tomorrow and then the " storm" (🙄) so OH has cut both lawns this afternoon. We popped out this morning as I'd forgotten our sons' partners birthday next week so we got her a few bits and bobs ( and some more xmas presents) and dropped into the Theatre booking office. We've got two dates, at two different times which may suit us so will talk it through with son tonight. I am getting ridiculously excited about it and hope it comes off. What have you started!? But I'm so glad you have ☺️ Like being a kid again.

Hazel, aren't Saponaria ocymoides and Tumbling Ted the same plant? It gets a good write up as a ground covering plant and has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.

The sun is shining and we have beautiful blue skies this afternoon. @Songbird-2 yes definitely still getting hot flushes, often have to kick the duvet off 🥵 My Tumbling Tom is just about hanging on, it got attacked by slugs last week. Hope you sort out some tickets for the Panto! Sorry to hear your OH is poorly today @Rubee hope he's feeling better this afternoon. Hope Rosie has been able to rest today and catch up on some sleep.
