Awake again,1.45am boiling hot. May have to have a rethink about having put the winter duvet on.Β

Good morning Hazel and all arriving soon. Poor you Hazel, a rubbish night's sleep again. Try to grab some quiet moments today and recharge your batteries. I only have one weight of duvet which I use all year round, buying a new one when needed - cheaper than having it cleaned.

Last night's match lived up to expectations - an absolute cracker. Worthy of a final. I tell you what though, England are really going to have to up their game next weekend when they take on the Springboks.

  • Morning everyone,Β  must have been cold, the heating came on earlier. There's a frost on the cars.Β
@Songbird-2 and @Ladybird4 flu vaccine wasn't too bad, just made me feel very tired for awhile. Although last night I was back to a rubbish night's sleep, we could have had a natter. Still awake gone 3 o'clock.Β
    Goodness @Biglad 20,000 steps! 😀
I'm tired just thinking about it πŸ˜‰
Off to shops later, to get a few bits. Then a lazy afternoon.Β
Have a good day everyone, take care.Β

Had a nice quiet day pottering. We've had deliveries of three Β parcels and Ive also managed to find a cheaper fixed tariff for dual fuel and secure that from next month. It seems to have gone through smoothly this time and I've adjusted the payments on line.Β
  • Afternoon everyone,Β  It was quite cold when I went to the shops this morning, I wished I taken my gloves!Β  Went in the few shops I needed to go to.......one of which was playing C#r*$m@$ music already!!!😱  By the time I got to the bus stop the sun had come out and I was hot wearing my jacket πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Strange weather πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
I've had a lazy afternoon watching TV and almost nodding off. But got up off the sofa and made a cup of tea, can't fall asleep now, I won't sleep tonight again!Β
@Songbird-2 glad you managed to sort out new fixed tariffs.Β  I can feel it getting cooler again, not turning the heating on yet though. Will wait a few more days....unless like this morning it comes on, on its ownπŸ₯Ά

Good move that Hazel. I have had to cut back my ivy again! I usually only have to do this once a year but with our strange weather patterns it had put on another growth spurt and the whippy shoots, in the wind, kept triggering my security light. Once that job was complete and with the weather being so nice - even though it was cold - I got my ladders (remember me getting them all those years ago?) out and cleaned out my gutter. Bear in mind it is only one storey high so I wasn't doing a steeplejack impersonation. This - despite it being the muckiest of jobs - is one of my favourite tasks to do. To be honest, it wasn't too badly full of gunk and I soon got it clear, rinsed through and ready for the Winter. My last tasks today were the planting of a Hydrangea - Miss Saori - where the lilac used to be, and the transfer of a pot full of 25 Snakes Head Fritillaries into the front garden. I was a bit shattered after that so once I got everything stashed away I retreated indoors to thaw out.

SGL, I have to 'fess up to putting my heating on when needed, which has been pretty often recently as it has been quite bitter here. Lily loves snuggling up to the hot radiator in the living room.
