Absolutely glorious day here so had to take advantage and get the first attempt at the latest round of deliveries done. Just shy of 20,000 steps later, I've got just under a third done (120 out of 380). I was thinking it might take 4 chunks but might be able to do it in 3 over the next 2 weekends. Today was all a new route so a little bit of wandering around in circles and not being able to find houses (or streets in one case!). I've done the majority of those remaining before so should be able to deliver those more quickly. Just hope I don't end up having to do it in pouring rain
We all sound to have had a busy day today, between us all.
@Bluejayway, no probs, I didn’t explain it very well. And yes, it is abit 🥵in here sometimes 😊😂 when we’ve had to pop the heating on lately, it’s never been for more than half an hour!
We had a surprise visit from daughter and family today- belated wishes and presents for OH’s birthday last week. She was in hospital on his birthday. He now has more Lego to complete😊😂 OH dug up Ilex Little Rascal from front garden this afternoon and has found a more suitable place in the back garden. He planted out his 3 Red Baron grasses in a clump and already the red in the leaves is shining out brightly when the sun hits the leaves.
I potted on some Saponaria Ocymoides into bigger pots and planted out a dianthus deltoids brilliant
which I hope will settle ok. Also put some Tumbling Ted into a couple of hanging planters which will stay in the greenhouse for a while- they were drying out fast in the greenhouse in their little pots.
Afternoon all. @Biglad, I have just come out of the darkened room and removed the wet cloth from my head. Watching England is so not good for my blood pressure! Very pleased with result. My brother-in-law was sitting on the right hand side ot the Princess of Wales during that match and I caught several glimpses of him having a very good time. Tell you what though, the next match today is going to be an absolute cracker. France v South Africa. I am really looking forward to that one. 20000 steps - that is really good.Rather you than me though trying to find all the houses.
Ruby, I am glad that your boiler trouble wasn't anything major. My thermostat can be carried about - it lives in my living room at the moment - and it also runs on batteries. I control all my heating from my phone.
Busy, I had to Google Astronomia roses as I had never heard of them. They are quite delicate and look rather like a wild rose don't they?
Hazel, my windows very occasionally get some condensation on the inside. Once I have my heating on it doesn't happen. I got my card at the GC this morning, wrote and posted it. Whilst at the GC some things leapt into my basket - bulbs and corms. 3 white Camassias - I have blue ones already and thought white ones would be nice. Two lots of crocuses - 15 Whitewell Purple and 15 Ruby Giant, 7 species Narcissus called Angel's Whisper and 2 Erythroniums - the pink Dog's Tooth Violet. I have a lot of the yellow ones - called Pagoda so am hoping to get some pink ones established.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hazel, aren't Saponaria ocymoides and Tumbling Ted the same plant? It gets a good write up as a ground covering plant and has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.

LB, It’s funny how things appear in one’s basket/trolley isn’t it?😊that happens to us all the time😂 Mind that blood pressure if you’re going to be watching an exciting game tonight!
Don't think I'll manage watching another game (rugby or football) without dropping off in the CA. I live in quite a narrow, steep valley so very few of the streets are flat. Probably 10,000 uphill and 10,000 back down again. I am aching a bit I must confess
