    Good afternoon.
It’s turned into another bonny day, warm and sunny, but a little breezy. I didn’t think it was going to manage to break through as it was very grey and mistyish this morning.
OH is busy in the garden, cutting the grass as its green bin collection day tomorrow. We only have a couple more before these collections stop for the winter.
Ive noticed the trees beginning to go on the turn, too, and when we went for a little walk on Saturday there were lots of conkers on the ground. I collected a few for indoors just to see if they really do discourage the spiders - though I expect it’s just an old wives tale. Still, it harms no-one to try.
I hope those of you having broken nights manage a decent sleep tonight. I never manage to sleep right through anymore, always waking 3ish. I usually manage to drop back off, but not always. It has got better since the nights have become cooler.
Well, I’d better get on and make a sandwich for our lunch.

Marcie High Pitched Scream by DTTF1225 on DeviantArt
I feel I get this week's scream after my morning. I got to the bank was meeted and greeted by a young lady who asked if I required help. Told her what I wanted, was taken to a 'space' that ressembled a loose box and was then asked if I had the App! I said no as I do not do banking on my mobile and was then told 'We can't do anything in the Bank. It all has to be done electronically or you can do it over the phone if you prefer.' Whaaaaaatttttt! I seriously felt like lying down on the floor and having a tantrum.
To cut a long story short I downloaded the App, sorted the business and left! I have since deleted the App. It would be easier with a sock under the mattress. Rant over.
Busy I am pleased to hear that your stomach problem has eased. You wouldn't want to be suffering with that before or even during your dinner party tomorrow.
Fingers crossed you find the perfect long cardigan in Brighton SGL. I have a friend who lives there.
Rosie, its mizzly drizzly here so no gardening for me at the moment. Quizzing again tonight.

Hello Red maple. You weren't there when I posted my cross post. Yep, spiders and conkers - an urban myth. No scientific proof whatsoever that it works. My Bestie collects them for her daughter (my hairdresser) who is terrified of spiders. When I showed Bestie the neat little spiders web draped between two conkers in a room corner in her house she begged me not to tell her daughter.

Hi all. Up and out early this morning so bit late on parade. It's very close and muggy here, overcast somewhat but so warm, most unusual.

We popped out to our big Te**o this morning and then a famous toy shop. We came back with quite a few nice little x**s presents/gifts ( so tempting when all the new stock starts arriving) and only managed to get one thing we actually went out for. 😲

OH has cut the front lawn and I have spread some old spent compost all over the sunny border as a mulch. OH is now washing his car as it became filthy yesterday when it had rained. Such dirty rain. Window cleaner came whilst we were out so he hasn't been able to wash windows at back of house....hope he only charges us half price thenπŸ˜‚

@star gaze lily, I have this problem all the time trying to get myself and mum cardigans ( and with pockets! They seem to be a thing of the past) Β and last month I managed to get her a nice one but it came from Ireland.Β

Son and family went to visit mum last Friday, poor son was mortified to see her in the Home.( bit like I was during my first visit). He did not like seeing her there, felt so dreadfully upset, poor lad. It seems that, initially, in this situation, all reason goes out of the window Β and pure emotion takes over. Acceptance will come in time.Β

Busy I'm glad to hear your tummy has eased a bit, hope your Oh's covid jab goes ok. Take it easy even though you have a dinner party to plan and cook forπŸ₯΄πŸ™‚
Red Maple, our council green waste stops too just now. Think we have two more collections and then that's it u til next March/ April. Luckily, the local recycling centre isn't too far from us so we often pop along there if and when we need to.
Ye Lord, LB, are we no longer allowed to speak face  to face then with a human being any more? You defo deserve the scream of the day😱😱 That was mad to not help you when you were there, in the bank, and someone was there with you. I don't think anyone gets trained up anymore to deal with humans, they don't seem to know what to do. grrrr....😑🀬😫

Your lovely pics have calmed me down Hazel. I love the spider one and I'm not too fond of getting up close and personal with spiders. They are wonderful as long as I can see where they are.
I am signing out for tonight. Going to get my brain in gear for tonight. I hope that you all have lovely evenings and I'll see you all in the morning.
