I managed to get some cardigans in Micks and Sparks 😉 Two navy ones, exactly the same. Can never get navy ones. Also got a grey one in a different style, it's a very soft and a nice grey, not the dark or dull shade of grey. It was a very warm sunny day, had a mooch in a few shops but ended up wandering down to the beach and sat there for awhile watching the waves roll in and also had a stroll along the waters edge. Something OH and I used to like doing. It seemed like a summers day rather than October.
@Songbird-2 hope your son is feeling ok this evening after visiting your Mum. Understandable him feeling that way seeing his Nan/Gran in surroundings that aren't her own cosy home. Sending a hug.
I can't stand that @Ladybird4. The staff who are passing on this information are party to closing down their own workplaces and losing their jobs. I have to resist the urge to go on the attack when they look at me with pity and ask what I've got against downloading an app. If they continue to make it too hard for me to bank as I please, I take my business elsewhere. However, that will eventually see my millions buried under the floorboards
The more I do electronically, the more e-mails, texts, google alerts, whatsapp messages are generated. Attempts to scam or attempts to genuinely sell me products I don't need? It matters little - it's dull as dishwater either way. Inundated with beeps, buzzing and pop-ups on my screen whilst trying to look at something else. It makes me want to scream at the e-world to just leave me alone!
Oh that feels better - little rant and then back to work. Going to do another hour before knocking off for the day.
I've watched Only Connect and UC tonight @Ladybird4 and, as normal, have only managed to get a couple of questions correct. Also, as normal, the intellectually superior contestants didn't. I conclude two things. One - really clever folk don't know much about sport. Two - I'm not a really clever person but I know some stuff they don't
I got the Grand National sponsor connection after Martell! Nobody in the studio was admitting to ever having watched it. Stupid, inferior and guilty. Who knew watching a quiz show could make you feel so bad?
OH decided to cut the lawn in the back garden since my last post so he's rather, shall we say, knackered now?🧐🙄😂 He must have had a burst of energy from somewhere. SGL, that picture is lovely. Thank you @Songbird-2 it was nice to sit there for awhile in the warm sun. Its a big store, but there was nothing else I liked in there. As you say not my sort of style anymore and apart from the cardigans, the clothes were not the quality it used to be. I hope I can sleep better tonight, I've dozed off for awhile on the sofa.
