LB how maddening of the bank. I can't even go to my bank any more, armed with my phone or not. They have closed my local branch. I never do banking on my phone.

    Lovely flower photos @Songbird-2.

A very good morning to you all. Last night was enjoyable as far as the company went but we still haven't managed to get to top spot. I am getting a little tired of all the American based questions e.g. which American president got married whilst in office and which American president was never married whilst in office. I cannot even remember the answers - am I bothered! It was very misty coming back home - felt very Autumnal. I meant to say yesterday Hazel that my nephews and nieces used to feel quite sad when they visited Mum in the home but she was always happy to see the 'youngsters' - even though she didn't recognise who they were.
SGL, that is a beautiful picture, thank you for sharing it with us. My Bestie does what you did when buying clothes. If she finds something she likes she always buys two of them. I do agree completely about the poor quality of M&S clothing these days. Its such a shame as a mooch in their stores was always a treat.
Biglad, under the floorboards is probably safer than my sock under the mattress!

Well guess who is beyond anger now! Just checked my bank account and they have made a complete hash of yesterday's business. I need to get my blood pressure back to normal!

  • Morning everyone.
Thank you @Busy-Lizzie for turning the photo round. I can't believe how beautiful the weather was yesterday for October.Β
And thank you, yes so glad I've got the cardigans, don't understand why it's so hard to find them anywhere these days. Jumpers are obviously more in fashion at the moment.
Oh @Ladybird4 do hope you get things sorted with your bank.Β Β
Seems ridiculous actually being in the bank and still have to use an app.Β
So many banks disappearing here too. I certainly don't want to end up doing on line banking.Β
Sorry @Songbird-2 meant to say what beautiful photos of your flowers.
The gardens are very confused at the moment, I have Love~in~a~mist growing and in flower at the moment πŸ€·β€β™€οΈΒ
Have a lovely day everyone. Its another sunny day here. 🌞

Hazel lovely pic of your flowers . My garden thinks it’s Spring .I am resisting doing online banking.

Morning all. Another vote for not doing on-line banking here. I don't like the idea either Rubee plus anyone these days, could get into your bank account and drain it dry. We have had a few hacks into e mails over the years, so it's a big no no to do the banking on -line too.
What a start to your day LB😑 This sounds like the BG saga of last week for us. It makes you want to *#@*, doesn't it? Maybe you already have πŸ€”πŸ˜‚!
Didnt sleep too well last night. Woke up at 3.40am and didn't really go back into a deep sleep after that. Watched the clocked go round every hour😦

    Morning all.

We enjoyed our evening last night with friends. Just before going into dinner there was a power cut, bit of a panic, but I noticed the neighbours' lights were on so R checked the fuses and something had tripped. Light was restored.

Cedric has his Covid jab this morning. He has just remarked that it is at 10.10 on the 10th of the 10th month!

Friends are coming to dinner tonight so I have some food preparation to do today.

Good afternoon all. It has finally started raining here and there was a beautiful rainbow - which disappeared as soon as I fetched my mobile to take a picture. I think the rain is in for the night.
I had Round 2 at the Bank this morning - result of which was that everything got sorted out and profuse apologies were given for my having to make yet another journey there. Oh and surprise surprise, that adjustment that couldn't be made yesterday was completed today with a few taps on the keys. Just as well as I was quite prepared to go incandescent. I think the shriveller Paddington Bear stares did their work!
When I took some stuff down to my compost bin this afternoon, the whole bottom end of my garden smells deliciously of candy floss as my Katsura tree has been shedding its leaves. At least this year, thanks to the wet weather since June, it has not shed its leaves early so I've had the joy of its Autumn colour and now the scent.
Busy, I hope that you are fully recovered and that you have a nice meal with your friends tonight.
