Great to hear from you @Red maple and the panto sounds just the trick to cheer anyone up in the middle of winter🙂 As you say, it doesn't matter how old you are, a panto at Christmas, is something lovely to look forward to. We have a lovely theatre in town ( lots of famous people have preformed there over the years) and we used to go a lot to watch various productions, musicals, plays etc but we haven't been for some time now. Perhaps in the New Year we may have a look and see what's on. Their Pantomimes are always really good. Live theatre is wonderful. I hope your ailments don't turn into anything nasty as there does seem to be a lot of coughs and colds going about again now. Whilst in the GP surgery today, we heard some magnificent coughing....😬 Hope your OH recovers soon too. I agree about keeping indoors and keeping away from others until you're fully over things. Hello @Red maple. Pantomimes are such good fun. I think that some of the joy is seeing the excitement and delight of the small people who go to watch. Speaking of whom, Hazel you could always go with 23. I bet he'd love it.

Morning all. It was quite close and muggy early on and overcast, now the sun has broken through and it's quite warm. Have hung some dampish material on the string outside so they should dry nicely this morning. What a change in weather again.

Didn't sleep too well last night so another easy day ahead. I have taken my foxgloves out of the greenhouse as they're looking rather floppy so it's probably too warm in there for them. They've been promoted to a cold frame and plastic green greenhouse ( in shade) . Rosie, @wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 , sorry to hear you're not feeling too well. Take it easy today, plenty of fluids and rest and hopefully these symptoms will gradually ease off. It's not nice feeling sick or not feeling right.
Good morning, It’s very muggy here, too, today - not at all like the temps you’d expect for October. The sky is very grey, though. I think we will have more rain before too long.
My prickly throat seems to have subsided 🤞, so I’m hoping it’s passed by. To all of you suffering tender arms after your jabs, I hope you soon feel better.
Good idea @Songbird-2, we could start the panto appreciation society 😂 (Oh yes, we can 😁).
Just been doing a spot of deadheading, and one of my clematis which flowers May to July is in flower again - most unusual. As I said before, we’ve had a funny old summer and autumn is heading the same way.
