Morning all. Lunch out and a look around the garden sounds nice Busy, but if the weather is anything like here today, wrap up well. It's breezy and cold here.
We have to pop to local SM for some bits including a birthday card for my OH. That's next week, another year has rolled round.Think I might start going backwards with my age as the birthdays come round๐Ÿ˜‚
We have our plumber coming on Friday to do a boiler service ( he's always super early๐Ÿ˜ฌ) and I have a hair appointment in the afternoon. I've had to cancel my last hair appointment but my, my hair has grown ,in two weeks , really long. Be glad to be shorn.

Good afternoon all. It was quite quiet when I got into town today to pick up specs. More familiar buildings have been demolished since last week - its a crying shame. The few shops still hanging on by a fingernail must find life very hard as less and less people are going to town - there is no where to mooch anymore. I imagine that the next time I go in it will be more of a wasteland. Sppoksavers may survive as they are situated in a listed building.
Rosie, that new series starts next Sunday - not Monday as I put in my original post. I don't know where my head was at then!
Ruby, that is a job that I must tackle soon. I have so much stuff to take to Sue Ryder.
Busy, have a lovely time out with your OH. I hope that the restaurant lives/d up to expectations. I know you are due back to France this month but cannot remember the date you mentioned.
Hazel, my Dad used to reverse the digits in his actual age except when it ended with a number bigger than the first number. We children thought it hilarious.

What a morning. LB, I have started having trouble now, with British Gas. Been with them for decades and not much wrong in that time, to be honest. Now, they said that the bank had stopped actioning the gas direct debit( that's my next task, to tackle them gawd) but they would set up new debit. That was a fortnight ago, on-line account shows otherwise.
Decided to go onto Chat Bot about it today...big mistake. On for half hour and kept getting logged out and having to repeat myself umpteen times to different agents but finally, we got there. Then they started saying we were massively in deficit. No, we are many 100's of pounds in credit( ready for winter) so had a bit of a battle getting that sorted. I came off ipad feeling as if I had been shoved through a hedge, backwards. What is happening with everywhere? It's all going to the dogs.

Soz, rent over, but it does annoy me.ย

LB, are the new specs ok for you? Any getting used to them or are you like my OH who just pops on a new pair with new lenses and they are fine straight up poor town sounds much like ours, but all our high shops have been demolished completely. Some shops have re located but others have gone. Such a crying shame.

Right, off to do battle again......
  • LB thank you re series starting Sunday. ย Hazel it can take time for eyes to adjust to new lenses from personal experience. ย Itโ€™s a lovely sunny day and my furry friend is purring wildly. ย Toodlepip. ย Rosie

Gosh Hazel, the minute I hear the words BG a shudder goes down my spine. I sympathize with you after personally having had a hellish time with them. They were a total nightmare and I want to have nothing more to do with them.
Like your OH, I just put the glasses on and they are fine. I wonder how long I will have to wait before I can try my sunglasses on. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I can't believe this๐Ÿ˜ข Have received an e mail from BG and they've got it all wrong again!๐Ÿ˜ก I couldn't bear trying a third time with Chat Bot so OH volunteered to do it. I was watching on a different device. Chap got it wrong again ๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™€๏ธ I was shouting at OH what was right ( poor soul) to type out and eventually, we have got it right now.ย
Our e mail inbox is chocker block with blasted mails from BG now grrrr.....

LB, re snoopy picture,.....especially when you have anti-glare covering on them๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ
As for the other....it didn't even end as above. There was more to come but I won't ย bore you with all that. Suffice to say, I've had ย enough of them today. May consider a complaint as it's been abysmal customer service. Incompetent.ย
Im signing off too. Night all.
