Rosie, I have tried for years to get booked in for a Christmas lunch anywhere nearby but I have always left it too late! It was an impulse 'ask' and even though they had many bookings there was still a table for 2 so we grabbed it.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning everyone,Β Feels cooler this morning and looking very grey outside.Β Another rubbish night's sleep, have a bit of a fuzzy head. Thank you @wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 Rosie, we had a nice day together. The poppets did cheer me up. But I also feel sad that their Grandpa is missing out seeing them too.Β @Ladybird4 sounds like a lovely meal. Glad you had a lovely time with your family. Good idea to book for ππ @Songbird-2 safe journey on the way to see your mum. I bet she'll be delighted to see you. Hope she's keeping well and a little more settled. Sending hugs. @Topbird very best wishes to you both. Happy anniversary! ππΎπ₯πΎπ₯πΎ
Good morning everyone .Much cooler this morning .Happy Anniversary to TBird andOH π₯ππ₯³π§. LB your meal out was obviously impressive enough for you to want to return to the restaurant. Great that you have a Christmas booking .
On the positive side Maisieβs little best friend who has been so very unwell is back to school in September. Things are looking good, luckily childhood cancers seem to respond well to treatment so fingers crossed π€
Gee folks - thank you for your good wishes. Fancy LB remembering.Β
I'd like to say we're having a lovely romantic day / meal out etc etc but, truth is, we have many little jobs to crack on with before we go away that we prefer to do those instead.
We did go for a flying day last Tuesday visiting farm strips in Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire and I'm sure we'll have some nice meals on holiday, so we're not feeling hard done by!
Need to sort the van out now so must get on.
Hope Hazel had a safe journey - can't quite decide which is my least favourite road -M25, M5 or the M6π€
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Lily I know you will feel that way and hope you can spend more time with family. Β Although I appreciate the times youβve been able to be together in the past, sending hugs x Rosie

Bit gloomy here. Supposed to be brighter later when I'm booked for my 4th round since Friday!!!
