    Good morning all.
    Sunday Gif GIFs Tenor
Well done Busy. Your painting has made everywhere look so light, bright and 'new'. I hope that you get a good rest day today.
T'Bird, that wait must have seemed endless. That makes relexation impossible as you are just waiting for the clearance and chance to disembark.
Ante, oddly enough I was watching the swallows wheeling around yesterday. I am always sad when they go as I know that the Autumn is really here.
I've joined you and Rosie with a cup of tea - cheers!

  • Morning everyone,ย
I'll join you all in a cup of tea too please.ย
@Songbird-2 hope you got a good nights sleep and the calamine eased the bites.
@Busy-Lizzie welll done getting the painting finished. Looks lovely and so much brighter,ย  ย Looks quite a big area, lovely place for a snuggly chair for reading.ย
@Topbird hope you and OH have a great holiday.ย
@Biglad enjoy your game of golf.
    Enjoy your Sunday everyoneย

    Morning all.

Thank you again. So glad it's done, my arm was aching. @star gaze lily it's where I dry the washing in winter so no chair. The heat from the wood burning oven goes up the stairs so the washing dries quickly.

No forecast thunder storm. Hot and sunny for the next few days but at least it should cool down at night. I must tidy up the garden before I go but will have to do it in the mornings. I'm not a morning person. I didn't water last night because a storm was forecast.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Good morning,
Itโ€™s a beautiful day here, already 21 degrees and set to rise to 25 degrees. A very welcome burst of late summer.
I think itโ€™s going to be a pottering sort of day today. There are jobs to do, but nothing too urgent that it canโ€™t wait.
    Have a lovely holiday @Topbird.
I hope all those mozzie bites didnโ€™t itch through the night, @Songbird-2.ย
Whatever your plans for the day, I hope you all have a good one.

Good afternoon all. What a day I have had. I got a phone call at about 10:30 from Jack's daughter, Jackie, to say he had fallen and could I help her to lift him up. I got across quickly and Jack was on his bedroom floor, slightly obscuring the door. There was no way either of us could have lifted him so I nipped back across the road and went to my neighbour to see if he could assist. Bless him he was great and came straight across and managed with Jackie to manoeuvre him onto his bed. Neighbour suggested his partner - who is an A&E nurse - could come across and take a look at him as he flatly refused to have an ambulance sent for. Neighbour went back to look after their little girl whilst his partner came over. She was so good and questioned Jack thoroughly - bit of a problem as he didn't have his hearing aids in. After a while she was happy with his condition but advised contacting the G.P. tomorrow. I guess I was lucky last week that he was fine whilst his daughter was on her holiday. He had locked the doors and left his keys in the lock. Jackie had tried unsuccessfully to climb in through a window but couldn't manage it. Luckily she was able to jiggle her key in the front door lock and managed to push Jack's key out. Bit of a nightmare.

Afternoon all. Hot here but managed to get some jobs done outside after first going out to purchase a new metal obelisk. Also managed to get some material items dried outside on string. Hot flat metal thing came out too but am dripping now.

Oh dear, LB. That sounds just like my mum with her recent fall. Your neighbours sound lovely people ,in times of crisis particularly. ย Glad Jack is okay and hope he feels alright tomorrow.

Had a restless night and I could have scratched my skin off sometimes but not too bad today. My right arm is quite swollen with one bite and I even have one on my forehead that I hadn't noticed last night. No more gardening on a sunny evening ๐Ÿ™‚

Hazel, there are just 6 houses in my Crescent and I am blessed with lovely neighbours in every house. They are not intrusive but are 100% reliable in an emergency. I've just rung Jack's daughter and she told me he has had a warm drink and a little bit to eat and he is now fast asleep. I won't ring him until tomorrow but I'll check first with his daughter. Keep dabbing on the calamine and taking the antihistamines. You must be VERY tasty!
I have managed to get Lily's TV underway and wet things are on the string. Its a lovely day so I do hope @Biglad is getting his round of golf in.
T'Bird, I hope you weren't ejected last night. I suspect not but you were lucky to find a space. Would they have held it open for you?
Not seen Debs and Yvie for a while so I hope that all is fine with them.
