Morning all. Damp and drizzly today but have been to the SM, ( nice and quiet) and done some shopping. Picked up a nice long cardigan for daughter and a birthday card for OH. zone to catch up on some indoor jobs.Β

Good afternoon everyone. Had a very peaceful day at Bestie's. It never stopped raining though. Bestie couldn't get out to take a close look at the car but as we are having our monthly Quizzers Meal tomorrow, I will be picking her up and she can look then. She gave me some very useful advice about ISAs so I will be checking out those later.
Hazel, I hope that you got the pm.

Had a natter with mum this afternoon, she sounded good and was really chatty.

    Hello all.

We've been to W'trose this morning for a change. OH likes it but it's a bit too far to be our regular and the prices are definitely higher than Mo'sons. Then we went to the really old pub in the town for refreshments.

I took OH out to lunch yesterday. The setting was beautiful, in a gorgeous beamy barn in the countryside, but the meal was a bit disappointing. I had expected fine dining but it was quite simple and basic and expensive. It has had some excellent reviews in the past but the photos of meals weren't the sort of meal we had.

Hazel, that is cheery news about your Mum. It must certainly have helped give you some peace of mind.
Oh Busy, what a shame you were a little disappointed with the meal - especially as you had had to rearrange the date. At least you will know not to bother going there again. Funnily enough my Bestie was talking about a new W'rose that has just opened in her Mum's favourite GC and they had gone there the other day. She commented on the price of items but said it was quite worth it for the quality of food they bought

Shame the food wasn't what you were expecting Busy. Β We don't have a Waitrose here at all, wouldn't know where the nearest one was but from what I have read I suspected it would be on the expensive side for items. If the quality is there though, it would be worth it for a nice treat now and again.
Im having to sign out early tonight, we're off to a second Councillor Ward a meeting tonight about the proposed change in status/ residence of a property nearby. Should prove interesting.
Have a pleasant evening all. Night all.Β
  • Hazel hope the meeting goes well, signing out, Rosie

Good morning everyone. I hope all slept well. I am out today with the Quizzers for lunch - picking up Bestie on the way. She made a big mistake by double booking today - not only is she going out for lunch but she is going out with more friends tonight for a Chinese meal. I reckon she will be just nibbling at lunch time!
